602 error code

E602 is a hard disk error. If the machine is coming up and working sometimes and not others, then either your hard drive is going bad or there is a corrupt file in the firmware. Try reloading system software if the issue is still present replace the hard drive. Loading system software requires special software (Service Support Tool) made by Canon.

Bought Punch Home & Landscape Design Premium at Best Buy. Cannot load software from disk. Comes up with error 1305 cannot read tool7501.mp4 verify that file exists and you can access it?????

I had the same problem. I copied the files from the disk onto an external hard drive. Double-clicked the setup file that I copied and installed the program from my external hard drive rather than my cd drive. It works great! Recommend copying ALL files to a hard drive and installing that way.

R31 stops loading bios, error 0188, bad CRC2, backup Windows Pro, should be on harddisk, how to start backup when bios does not load? Geir Vidar

Hey there... I believe the 0188 code is a bad systems board error, or it could be a memory error. Try removing the DIMM using only on-board memory to see if you can get by.

If you cannot get by the BIOS error, I would remove the hard drive, connect it to another system and backup your data files (if they aren't already backup somewhere else.

You can buy R31 parts-machines on ebay for a few dollars, possibly you can replace your systems board... but, for a few dollars more, you can buy a working R31. Get a new one and put your hard drive in it and you will be as good as new!

How to fix my Dell inspiron 1545 error code 2000-0146

ok, the good news, the bad news, and the ugly.
Good news: buy a replacement hard drive and you should be good to go. Bad news: data recovery on a failed drive is a crapshoot at best- there are ways to try and recover, but they are stopgap (and cheap) or mostly reliable (and freaking EXPENSIVE)
Ugly: buy an external cage to install the hard drive, use a boot cd of Linux ( I've had better luck pulling files from NTFS drives using Linux than another install of Windows. Go figure....) and put the hard drive in a freezer bag- **** ALL AIR OUT OF THE BAG!. Put drive in freezer for 48 hours.
Pray. Pray hard. Pray harder still. Put drive in external cage, attach to linux system. Pull as much info as you can. Hopefully you can snag your important files- but that error is a pretty gnarly drive error.

Problem with the Canon imageRUNNER 8500 Grayscale Copier E602 0004 - ir8500

Hello ash,
This code means that the system software located on the hard drive could not be accessed sucessfully. You will notice when you turn the copier on it tends to take quite a while to get passed the "please wait" screen as it tries to find those files on the hard drive. Then the 602 code. This almost always means that the hard drive is dead or has been slowly failing for a while. You could try this. Power the copier off, then power it back up while holding down the numbers 1 & 9 at the same time. The screen will turn dark and you will see what looks like a game of TETRIS game playing. This defragments the hard drive. This may buy you some time. But I doubt it will truly heal the problem Hard drives die. The bad news is that you can't just put any hard drive in there. A store bought hard drive will not have the system software on it. And the utility that could load the software will not recognize an "off the shelf " hard drive as Canon loads a file on its hard drives that identifies itself to the utility so the software will load. That means a service call. I wish I had better news, truly. But at least you will know what's going on if you have to call a tech. I wish you the best. SPINAL

I get a fatal error upon bootup for my toshiba laptop. The error refers to to a hard disk problem based on the following error codes. 0X0000007B 0XFFFFFA6005AF9CO 0XFFFFFFFFC0000034 I have gone into...

windows has corrupted files and can not continue to load "software issue" or there may be bad sectors on the hard drive. To test this! If you have the original recovery disc, try and reload your operational system if successful it proves software problem. If this fails! the hard drive needs to be pulled and tested or use the smart software to test the hardware in the computer, if it fails replace the hard drive.

E79: Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it. If it works with the hard drive removed then you may have a faulty hard drive m8. To test your machine before you buy another one, borrow a mates hard drive and test it in your machine, if you get the error code again then something in your machine is faulty. If it loads ok with a different hard drive then yours is definately the problem. www.fixmyconsole.co.uk

To solve code error 0146 and 0148

Both of these are hard drive errors. Error 0146 is a failed hard drive or bad drive sector, and 0148 is that thew machine is no longer detecting the hard drive. Basically, your hard drive has failed and will need replaced. Replace the hard drive and you will be set. The best place I've found to buy hard drives is at pricewatch.com, they have the best prices on the market.
