Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Check for clog in motor intake. Take off the tank and look up into the motor. There will be a round tube with a plastic grate.

Do I need to use any cleaning agent inside my steamer or spray it on top of the carpet then steam it

Steam cleaning is supposed to mostly eliminate the need for chemicals.

I suggest you check the steamer instructions or contact their customer service for advice before testing a small area of carpet for colour fastness that is usually hidden.

Hoover spinscrub

I would be careful in mixing solutions with different machines. The steamer carpet cleaner applies the cleaning solution differently than the spin scrub. If anything, I would delude the solution before using it in the shampooer. The steamer automatically deludes the solution, the scrubber directly applies a thick coat.

My power steamer model 1697, 8804 series doesn't **** up the water

I filled up my Bissel power steamer with hot water. I also filled up the formula mix. It turns on and sprays. The "dirty" water was seen the first time I used it. Now there the clean water is on the carpet and no dirty water is in the tank what"s up???

Dirty steam cleaner help

You can just run plain water thru it. But, the best way to clean it is to first knock all the stuff loose you can with a brush.

If you want to put detergent in it., use use liquid laundry detergent -- a small amount

Instructions or manuel was not included.

i downloaded the manual for your machine, but not sure how to access it for you,but i do know about the problem, the tank that sits down on the front of the steamer and it has 2 clips that you push in to lock the tank is where your dirty water is put in when you are cleaning your carpets. the tank above ,the one where you put your solution and water in is what is used to shampoo your carpet. on the handle is a trigger (black) button ,this is the button you push in to release your solution onto your carpet. release the button to extract the water from your carpet, moving your steamer in a back and forth motion. the trigger button is the only button on the machine and is only used to put the water /cleaner located in the upper tank on your carpet, releasing this button and moving your steamer back and forth over the shampooed part with extract your dirty water into the tank that sits below the solution tank. go on www.hoover.com and click on carpet cleaners ,scroll down to find yours and click on manual. and the owner manual will download and you can print it out for future reference, i hope this will solve your problem, sandy

Proceedure?

You release the water on the reverse stroke, and the machine will pick up in that same stroke. You push the machine forward to position it and pull back slowly as you pull the trigger to release solution and clean the carpet.

Ok, perhaps I am an idiot!

If you go to this URL: http://www.dirtdevil.com/CustomerService/Manuals/default.aspx ...and enter the model number for your machine, then you can download a users manual. I would just give you the exact URL for the user manual, but I don't know your model number. If this helpful to you, please leave a good rating. Thank you! ;)
