MY HP 11C Calaculaltor has quit working. I changed the batteries and the screen only blinked a few times. How can I get this fixed? Where can I send this calculator to be repaired?

I hate Compaq since HP bought them out yrs ago. Anyways a few suggestions.
1 unplug it and take the battery out and wait say 5 minutes put it back in and all and turn on. Still nothing? Try leaving the battery out and just plug it in and turn on..... No? Put any disk in the drive and try both with battery and plugged in and without battery.

I've had this irritation with my Dell a few times. I turn it on and nothing but a blank screen. If you have anything plugged into it such as phone or other usb devices unplug them. they do sometimes interfere. The dvd/cd drive Did the same to me even when I first bought my unit but after a while of just leaving a disk in the drive it quit. I asked about that problem myself and it's nothing to worry about. If the problem does persist I would suggest running a few system scans updating drivers and scanning for spyware trojans malware virus' and so on. these can cause such problems

Press f [FIX] then a digit for the number of digits you want after the decimal point.

The calculator is set to use compound interest for the odd period. To use simple interest, press STO then EEX.

That's the low battery indicator. Put in a fresh set of batteries and it will go away.

If the asterisk is flashing, the batteries you put in are not good either.

You're probably one of thousands of victims of defective nvidia chipsets in these systems. Call HP and complain.

I had the same problem with my HP 11C. The following solution worked for me.
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. With the batteries in place (i.e. DO NO REMOVE THEM), use a small piece of wire (I used a standard staple bent at one end), short the terminals FOR A BRIEF MOMENT between both ends of the set of batteries (the HP-11C has three). This means somehow inserting the staple such that the contacts in the batteries receptacle are shorted.
3. The flashing will stop. Then push the ON button until the calculator turns on. If it does not work the first time, remove the batteries and resinsert them.
4. You may have to repeat this procedure. I had to do it twice before my calculator worked again.

It's the motherboard. Check to see if yours is still under warranty even if you've had it for over a year.

HP / Compaq has recently extended their warranty period for certain models.

There is some pieces on the board inside your phone you broke off when you dropped it. It will need to be fixed by a technician. Hopefully you didnt brake the flex cable. Have them check the cable before doing anything else.

I had the same problem last night. It went away when I recharged the AA batteries.
