98 ford expedition won't start, installed a brand new battery, lights come on but when I turn ignition to start lights shut off, and come back on after a second

Check battery voltage, should read 12.5 volts or more. Just because it its new, doesn't mean it is charged to full voltage. If battery is fully charged, and connections are good, then I would look at the starter relay or starter motor.

Battery totally drained

Can it crank with a jump start? Check for good contact on the terminals. Also, some new batteries are not fully charged. If you did not drive the car much with the new parts, it may not have ever gotten fully charged. If you can wiggle the battery terminals, they are too loose. Lastly, the alternator contacts should be checked and the output of the alternator should be checked with a proper meter.

I have an Audi A6 19TDI Reg in 2001. after disconnecting battery on this car. and reconnecting after few days. the dasboard does not work, None of the Gauges are working. will not show speed, rev counter...

Take the battery off and fully charge it - get a hydrometer to test it - its pointless going on if the battery is the cause of the problem.

If the battery is fully charged and you put it back on and the dials are dead - you have a serious problem.

You could need a complete new dashboard assembly - I had a Renault where this happened and it was big bills time - a new dashboard.

In the old days rust killed cars - now faulty electronics kill them - a dash could be $750 or more an ECU to manage the engine could be more.

It might need a garage with the correct computerised test equipment to fully diagnose.

GOOD LUCK

Battery is fully charged but when I turn ignition key nothing happens, on light does'nt come on and needle does'nt move battery level

Has the scooter been sitting unused for a while? If so, the gel inside the rechargeable batteries may have gone solid. When you connect the charger, the light shows green indicating the batteries are full, but instead of being full of power, they are full of crud. The scooter can sit for just a few weeks and this will happen. If the batteries are new or have been properly maintained, try checking your fuses and all the connections/leads as this certainly sounds like a power problem.
Good luck!

I have a 1998 Nissan Frontier and I believe there is an electrical problem but I don't know where to look. i noticed that my ''Brake'' and ''Battery'' light was coming on and off and when it did my...

With a volt meter and the engine at idle, check the voltage at the battery. It should always be just over 12 up to 14 volts. At idle with no accessorys on (lights, fan, radio ect.) The voltage should stay just over 12 volts. As you turn on all the accessorys the voltage should rise up to between 12-14 volts.
Also, a new battery needs to be fully charge before use. Most new batterys sit on the shelf and lose charge. My last new battery needed 8 hours of chargeing to be fully charged.
I hope this helps.

No power with a brand new battery, not even ignition lights

Did you check your brand new battery? Fully charged? Hydro was good? You are connected properly ( + = + and - = - ) Do a volt check yourselg between + and - (frame)

If yes to all, Id be looking at the ignition switch.

Ignition light won't go out dodge dakota 1998

I think you have a defective door ajar switch, this makes the control module think the door is open, that explains the light and the key in ignition warning.
