Thermal Fuse for Bunn GR-10

Check bunn.com for free download of manual.
*** the following is for information only. Equipment should be service by a qualified tech. ***
* Thermal fuse is pretty standard for all bunn equipment. They are readily available from many on line sources as well as a local restaurant equipment store (FESCO, Restaurant supply parts, etc.)
* though thermal high limit fuses blow when no water is in the brewer when powered up. This means the heater element got hot enough to melt things and eventually over heat the fuse. Replacing the fuse may not solve all your brewers problems.
* It might be wise to check for a repair kit on line, just to be sure your covered for other problems.
* Final, Check your warranty before performing any repairs. You could probably get the whole unit replaced.

How to fix a bunn coffee maker that trips a gfi

Every time I plug in my bunn coffee maker, it trips the GFI. But when I plug it into another plug in my kitchen, it will work, but it seems like the water reserve is not right. It blows too much steam and the top starts lifting up from the pressure of the steam, then it starts leaking out the top left side. Then if I pour enough water to make 10 cups, it only makes 6 or 8. The coffee maker is only 3 years old, what should I do?

Bunn keeps blowing the circuit when pulled in

If the circuit resets with the coffee maker unplugged, the coffee maker is at fault. There is a defective part in the unit that is shorted causing an overload in the circuit. You will have to isolate the bad circuit and replace or replace the coffee maker.

My 2006 Bunn blows a fuse when used

This sounds like a short in the main heating element. If you are within your 3 year warranty, Phone Bunn and talk to their warranty department. They will give you a RMA number and give you further instructions. If not, there are no replacement parts available for these brewers.

We have a Bunn coffee maker manufactured in 2006. Any time we try to use it, it blows a fuse

You didn't mention which fuse it was that blew; I assume you mean a house fuse, not the Bunn's.
Since you mention a fuse rather than a circuit breaker, again, I assume this is the screw-in type that must be replaced each time it fails.
Check your Bunn for the rated power consumption; it should be shown somewhere on the machine and is likely somewhere between 1000 and 2000 watts.  You need to find how much current the machine is drawing.
Divide the given wattage by your line voltage which is probably (if in the US) ~120 Volts. For example: (from the Bunn) 1200 Watts/120 volts = 10 Amperes
That means that when the Bunn is heating water, it will need 10 amps just for itself.  If, for example, you have a microwave oven using that same fuse that has a rating of 1000 watts power to cook with, it will actually draw ~ 1400-1500 watts from the wall plug.  Again, 1500 Watts/120 volts = 12.5 Amperes
Now we have a total of 22 1/2 amps of current if both are operating at the same time or if any other appliance such as a toaster (also draws a bunch) is being used, you will most likely blow a 20 amp fuse if not instantly, perhaps after a few minutes.
Fuses are designed to blow in a few milliseconds if hugely overloaded or to be patient for a minute or two if the over-current is mild; say 21 amperes.
Over-fusing may be dangerous since the fuse rating is related to the gauge of wiring in the circuit it protects. This means that you need to move the Bunn to a different circuit so you don't accidentally exceed the fuse rating with two high-powered appliances if turned on together.
