I have unchecked tunes in iTunes I do not want and checked ones that I want to add or remain. I connect iPod to computer which loads up iTunes. iTunes says iPod is synching, but the iPod doesn't acknowledge this. It just says eject before disconnecting. The iPod did state that it was synching once, but the synching seemed to be too quick. After checking on the iPod of any changes, I notice that the songs I unchecked have gone off the iPod, but the ones I want to add are not there. I have taken alot of songs off my iPod because it was virtually full, but there is 1.25 GB left! What am I doing wrong?

I bought a 5th Gen 30 Gig Personalized Ipod at a Pawn Shop. It will charge, but not Sync to my computer, my computer acts like it's completely ignoring it. Now, I've had two other computers not my own that perfectly connect to it. Using my cord and everything, I have Itunes installed, I have an account, but what good is that if my Computer wont' even find my bloody Ipod? If anyone has a solution to this, please Email me at Perfect_Iris@live.com with the subject line "FIX IPOD" If no one can fix this then well...I guess I better find a better computer, or play target practice with the bloody Ipod...

Open iTunes (without iPod connected). Create a new playlist and copy songs you want on your iPod into that list. Next connect your iPod. Once iTunes recognizes your iPod then go to the music tab and click on 'sync playlist only' and chose the new playlist that you created. Click sync. Only the songs in your new playlist should be copied to your iPod.

Hi,

Syncing the music to the mac OS10 is much easy please follow the steps below:

Syncing music and podcasts automatically Connect iPod to your computer and open iTunes.

You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists. Your iPod will need to have enough free space to sync the content that you have selected from your library. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the iPod settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window.

Podcasts can also be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Podcasts tab and choose to sync all podcasts or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent, new, or unplayed

Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the audio content you've selected to your iPod. The iTunes LCD will display the sync progress and notify you when the iPod sync is complete

  1. To disconnect your iPod, select it under Devices and click the eject icon next to it.
Syncing music manually If you prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod, you can set up manual syncing.

Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
Select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting those options in each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting it from your computer
Click Apply.

To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under Library on the top-left of the iTunes window.

Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon under Devices.

To add a playlist, select it from the left side of the iTunes window and drag it onto your iPod in the same way.
