Yes get a safety pin , needle or a thin pin ,.
on the out side of the dvd  tray near the eject button you will see a tiny whole insert the pin and push this is the manual override eject feature built in to most cd/dvd players whether its on a laptop or pc

Solution for error 0xEB020BE2

That means the DVD cannot burn anything without fatal errors.
Locate your CD drive in the Device Manager list under DVD/CD-ROM. Right click on the drive and click Update driver. You may need to uninstall the current driver first and restart the computer; this is in the same list.

Cd drive wont open

DCD or CD stuck, exploded? In the Start Menu, Computer, right click the DVD/CD rom drive , scroll down, click on Eject. There may be a "pin-hole" on the face by the button, you can use a paperclip to insert and open. If All else fails remove the DVD and remove cover.

Hp pavilion zv6000 wont recognize dvd+r

Hi Terry,

The answer is pretty simple, the ZV series is about 4 years old, back then DVD manufacturers decided which formats they would support as it was too expensive to make desktop drives, let alone, laptop drives that supported all formats. That drive only works with DVD-R and I believe DVD-RW. If you want to burn other formats, the laptop will only support them if you add an external drive of a newer make.

Note: Virtually all current models support ALL DVD formats and many support BluRay as well.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Try to check your settings in the control panel sound hardware .Maybe its disconnected or there are wires that has been cut-off. Try to check also your volume settings in the task bar. Maybe its set to low or minimum volume.
