Pump motor stalls in my HP printer

When an inkjet printer is making "awful noises" it means that there is either a paper jam or the carriage can't move properly. Remove all paper and check for a paper jam - if this is not the problem, turn off the printer and see if you can move the print cartridge carrier by hand. If it is hard to move, clean the shiny carriage rod with a cloth and put just a drop of light oil on it. Move the carriage back and forth and clean it again - repeat until it moves easily and add a final drop of oil to the rod.

HP Officejet Pro K8600 CARRIAGE STALLED

Hi,

Make sure that you have tried the steps in the following web link:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01287261

If the issue persists, then this is a hardware issue. From my experience Carriage Stalled errors are usually due to a hardware failure.

The printer may be faulty. I suggest you return it to the supplier to have it fixed or replaced under warranty. If you try to fix it yourself you may void your warranty.

My HP C5280 Printer has an error message "carriage stall". None of the suggestions made on the website have worked. Seems to be in a continuous loop. How can I get a hardware reset or local...

A carriage stall either means the carriage cannot move, or the printer THINKS the carriage isn't moving.
Most HP printers use a calibration strip to tell where the carriage is, and if that breaks, there's nothing you can do about the carriage stall message, the unit has to be serviced or replaced!
Here's a quick test though.disconnect the power from the unit. Reconnect the power, and while the whirring and so forth is going on, disconnect the power again.
See if you can move the carriage (the part with the printheads) all the way left, and all the way right.
if it sticks, find out what's obstructing it, because that's the problem.
If you CAN move it all the way left and right, chances are that calibration strip is broken.

HP CM8060 Error code C1.132A

2 possible causes for this are Carriage stall and paper on drum at SN57 Carriage 2 Pen Protection sensor. Some MFP's can experience intermittent motor stalls due to maladjusted upper right front door latch when minor movements cause the door actuator to open the door switch . this can then show up as a carriage stalled. also check for carriage 2 binding and that the aerosol hose and snorkel are seated properly.Check the plastic sensor actuator for damage and contamination. last chance could be Pen Pocket 4 PCA (A19).

Resubmittance stall problem

try lubricating the carriage with WD40, put on a towel and rub the carriage, it may be too dry and can't move easily. " carriage stalled " means it started to move but for some reason it stopped.
