Hi when i turn on my psp theres nothing just a blank screen the green power light comes on for a bit then turns itself off. not sure if this has anything to do with it but when i got a new game it come up installing updates or something like that but before it could finish installing the battery went flat and hasent worked since please if you could help that would be great. Thanks Zayden

thanks for advice, not sure how i get mod chip or if it would be cheeper 4 me just 2 take to sony what do you recken? What would be the easyest and quickest solution? Thanks Zayden

If you turned it off during the update you will have to take the device to sony.

I hear sony takes around 90 for fixing this.

well the update failed / was stoped in the middle the device files are corrupt.

Il look into if we can solve this ourselfs without sending it to sony.

Your psp is bricked

Contact sony they charge around 90 for fixing this.

Other option is to get a mod chip and mod your psp.

I beleave with the mod chip you can then fix your psp.

I cant assist you with the mod chip. I recommend you contact sony.

the easyest solution for you is to take it for sony

the mod chip is a chip you have to install inside the psp, they come with instructions but I recommend you contact sony to fix this.

While im plaing my psp, the screen freezed and i restarted it, when i turned on my psp (theres a green light) nothing happens the screen is empty then a few minutes the green light gone what happened

I guess you have custom firmware. If so, you can use a pandora battery to solve the problem. If you do not know how to make a pandora battery or if this doesn't work send me an email or add me on [email protected]. But pandora is most likely to be the solution. I had the same kinna problem but I was updating it thats the only difference. The green light is on and the screen was blank and then the light turned off. So I used a Pandora Battery and it fixed. :P

Green light but nothing comes on

It seems that inside your PSP the LCD Screen Connection cable (The broad One) which is connected to the motherboard is being loose contact so if you can open the PSP try it by re-fixing the cable again otherwise you better go for a technician who will do the same job for you.

Power light on but still not working

Check ur firmware, (if ur PSP installed custom firmware e.g. OE, M33.) goto "recovery mode", press and hold R(right button) while turn on ur psp. if u can go, simple use pandora battery for downgrade/upgarde ur psp. see at, http://e-arena.blogspot.com

Power issue, blank screen.

Don't listen to dnbull. i looked at the PSP sites, and apperantly that kind of thing will only happen if it got screwed because you shut of power while it was loading, downloading, saving etc. and it will take about 2-4 hours of time for the data to restart. Put in on a charger and leave it on for a long time and it should restart. you might not have all your files though... sorry...:(
