its the FLEX CABLE! need to change it..the cable that connects the LCD screen to the main motherboard

all you have to do is contact motorola, tell them you are going out of the country and you will be using a foreign sim card. they will provide the subsidy unlock code. no need going to those pay sites to get something that is available free of charge.

No you never take the battery out and try to charge it. You probally fried something inti.. If you have had it only a few months return it to the store where you purchased it. It is still under warrenty.

sounds like the battery to me. there is a chance it is the phone. Check on your warranty and see about a battery replacement first. Its much more likely.

try charging up your phone (also verify your battery is not going bad) then reattempt, some programs will not even allow you to update certain portions of the phones software unless your battery is at a sufficient charge.....it very well may be just a battery replacement issue

I have the same phone and it flashs every now and then when its charging but it charges and works fine. Is yours charging?
