Hello, this is may due to one of the following issues: - the battery pack is exhausted or not properly charged. Try to charge it for one whole night, if this doesn't work you should get a new one (you may find it in your local retailer) - there's a possible source of radio waves too close to the Wii such as: wifi weather station, wifi router, cordless telephone, etc... try to keep away any wireless device and see if you get the wiifit connection back. I hope it was helpful. Feel free to ask if you need further info. Bests, Peter

rechargeable batteries are definitely a better bet. I have used many Wii battery packs and chargers, none seem to last very long.

If you remove the rechargable battery pack and put regular batteries back in, are you still having the same problem? If so, I would recommend returning the rechargable unit and replacing it.

For what it is worth, I've been using my Wii Fit board for nearly a month on 4 alkaline batteries and have not had any problems.

I recommend rechargeable NiMH batteries with a 15-minute quick charger. Always have four more batteries than you need in your machine, ie: if you have a Wii Fit, a Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar, and two Wiimotes, then you should have 16 batteries total (4 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 4 spare).

Good luck!

Wii fit

I have found that every so often, especially while stepping on the board, the Wii Fit would get disconnected. I did a little research and found some interesting clues to why it might be happening. I had a theory. Since the batteries are at the bottom of the board I thought the vibration of stepping plus the pull of gravity might be loosening the battery connections enough for the board to lose power temporarily. To test my theory I made a shim out of cardboard from a cereal box to hold the batteries firmly in place. This seemed to have done the trick since I have not had the problem since. I created a template you can get from my site http://www.everythingtech.net/2009/03/wii-fit-board-connectivity-fix/
