Go to bios and reset the priority of booting, make hdd 1st . Your computer is trying to boot through bootrom of your ethernet card.

Thanks

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I believe the Realtek controller is for the cable that plugs into a cable modem or DSL modem. Low connectivity normally applies to a wireless connection, not a wired one. Pleas let me know if you have any more questions.

Go back into the BIOS or System Setup and make sure you have your hard drive selected as the 1st boot device. It looks like you have it set to boot from a LAN. Make the Change, then save and exit the System Setup.

You might be able to just turn off the computer, then power it back on and watch the lcd screen for which key to hit in order to change the boot device. When you see it, hit the key. This change is only for this particular startup and you'll have to do it everytime so it's best to go into the Bios or System Setup and make it permanent

This error occurs when the BIOS finds no hard disk drive to boot from, and tries and fails at booting thru the network jack (PXE Boot is a network boot used in large corporations, usually to image a system.)
Reseat the hard disk drive in the system, then reset the bios defaults and see if the system will boot normally. You can also try running diagnostics (Fn + Power on a Dell)
Most likely scenario is that the hard disk drive has failed and you will need to replace it.

It sounds like it's trying to boot from a network. Did you change the boot start up in the BIOS? If not then it's trying to boot from the Ethernet port because your hard drive is not being detected or your software is corrupted.

If the sound you are referring to is a clicking sound, then it is a hard drive failure.
Your computer is trying to boot up the operating system from the hard drive, but when it fails to access the hard drive, it tries to boot up from other devices configured on the BIOS. Apparently, your next choice for booting the operating system is set to the LAN card. Hence, you get the message "PXE-E61 Media test failure", which means that the computer tried to boot up the operating system over the network but it found out that your network cable is not connected to your computer's network interface card.

Go into the BIOS and disable the Option: Network Boot ROM. This message will show, because the system is trying to boot from your Ethernet ROM.
