go to device manager and try to see from there, because without the make and model of your card, and your OS, I will not be able to find the correct driver..
Right click My Computer, select properties, select Hardware tab, click device manager button.
Click the (+) next to Display drivers, this will give you the name of the chipset or video card. Right click this and select properties. You should find the name and model of your video card there.

Do you still require the drivers or is your issue resolved? If you still need the drivers, pls give me the make and model of the graphics/video card.

Hi there please download "drivermax" search for this on google. This is agreat program that will find drivers for anything. Careful though, you only get 2 free drivers per day on the free version so make sure you download the relevant ones using this program.

I need video controller (VGA compatible). Pls help me with this

Hi almajja,
click on this Acer link:
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_4520.html
Once the site opens click on the dropdown menu, (Driver and Utilities). Slide down the list to, (VGA_ATI_v.8.473-080309a). You may have to wait a few seconds for the driver to pop-up. File name;
VGA_ATI_v.8.473-080309a.zip. Create a folder on your desktop & save the *.zip file into that folder.
If you no longer have these drivers, now might be a good time to download all the listed drivers. Burn to a CD/DVD if possible

Good luck almaija!
Thank you for using fixya.

Well running vista on nvidia 5200 and expect for performance is nothing but a dream. If you are a gamer, you shoud REALLY get a new graphic board...an nvidia 8600 could help you.the rest of the configuration is great for running vista and play most of the games(with a new graphic board).

IF you don't need another graphic board and you don't play demanding games, the video driver could be your enemy...
here is a site where you could download a GOOD driver www.Guru3d.com

Cheers, mate!

Please, Help me.....

Hi,

1. Go to START, then CONTROL PANEL.
2. Look for the SYSTEM icon, click that.
3. Click HARDWARE tab, then click DEVICE MANAGER

This will display all Installed Device Drivers & Uninstalled device drivers, usually uninstalled device drivers got yellow exlamation mark icon on it.

4. Look for the Sound Device or Video Device, then right click on that and click UPDATE DRIVER.

5. You need to browse for the right and proper Device Driver for this device, if not available, you need to download the Driver from the internet, and usually the sound device is provided with CD Installer, use that.

6. If all procedures were done correctly, then that should solve your problem.

If this procedure helps you solve your problemt, please spare a little time to rate my solution.

Looking for DANTZEL SANTOWSKY..my expert..

Hi (not Dantz)

Do a Google search with the following string:

(Brand name) (Model number) +driver

This should bring up a list of sites from which you can download the driver (check that the operating system matches). Drivers are usually zip files, so (if necessary) unzip the file, then go to Add/Remove Hardware and run the program.

This should fix your problem.

Also, when downloading the driver - save it to your computer and place it in a folder called Downloads in My Computer. Create a backup disk of this file and label it (Brand Name) (Model Number) Driver - and keep it safe somewhere. This way you will have the driver available next time you need to reinstall it.

Problem with ASUS Geforce 6600, 256MB, AGP8x

Its most likely drivers. Completely uninstall all Geforce drivers and and software. Some video uninstall programs only remove the software and not the drivers. You'll need to go into device manager and uninstall the video drivers from there. Double check to make sure MX440 drivers are gone as well. When you restart and windows wants to install your new card, cancel it, then run the Geforce setup program. That way you won't get conflicts with a windows basic driver. Then make sure you have Directx 9c installed. Directx 10 isn't necessary because I don't believe the 6600 supports it anyway.
Good luck

Unable to capture video using GeForce 256 (V6800)

Sounds like a driver issue. Maybe win2k is not completely compatible with your video card drivers. Win2k is known to have issues with third party drivers.
