SOURCE: I need to replace the battery for a Remington

Surfing the internet is the best way to find the battery. Here's a link which might be a place you could start your search:

http://spendoo.com/1496-buy-shaving-appliances.htm

You may have to remove the battery and use the part number in your search.

It's not extremely difficult to replace the battery. There may be solder connections to deal with.

SOURCE: can I replace my Remington

You will find compatible batteries for model MS-5200 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need two

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/batteries/shaver-battery-pack-for-most-shavers-p-211.html

To open the shaver body, remove one screw on the back. Also partially remove the 4 outer screws found on the metal plate under the cutters. Once these 4 screws are removed you can partially remove the top part of the shaver body (the parts with the trimmer on it). Then you will need to gently pry off the rubberized grip on the front of the shaver. This will reveal two more screws. Remove these to seperate the front and back of the shaver and access the batteries.
You will need to remove the wires from the batteries by melting the solder with a soldering iron. Solder in the new batteries and reassemble. Charge for 24 hours before use

SOURCE: New Remington MS 280. Unable to charge after the first few shaves

Check the powerr lead in the first instance. If there's no power from the lead it may need to be replaced.

Otherwise there could be a problem with either the control board or the batteries. It's only a recent model so I'm leaning towards the lead.

SOURCE: Can batteries in Remington 5130

Yes you can have the battery replaced. This however needs to be done by an Authorized Service Dealer. To find your nearest dealer in the USA, use the online search function here:

http://www.remingtonproducts.com/ConsumerService/AuthorizedServiceDealers.aspx

If you are in another country, go to the top right of the screen, mouse over the Country and select your country. Look for a tab for the Authorized Service Dealer search function.

Just put a new battery in scuba and it runs about 30 seconds (completely charged)

1) replace again the batteries by new ones and completely charged.
2) test the charger if if functioning properly, can be faulty, and not charge well the batteries.
3) test the power supplies inside from the scuba, to due some short circuit drain the batteries.
God bless you

I have the Remington Cordless Power Mower Model MPS6017A. The battery, after three summers, no longer powers the mower, so I am looking to buy a replacement battery, SB60A, and I am having no luck finding...

The Remington battery has 5 Alkaline battery cells. The model batteries are Yuasa NP5-12T, NP 5-12T .250 terminal or Equivalent. It is a very Easy R & R job. Takes about 10 minutes. You should be able to pick up the batteries for around $10 - $15 each.

I have a brand new remington r 9500 r rotary shaver which does not get charged when its adaptor is plugged into an wall power outllet. Please advise me to make this shaver do its job.

Rather then you buying a new battery or a new charger or taking your entire shave apart wouldn't it be alot easier seeing how it is new to return it this way also it wouldn't cost you anything in replacement parts as well message me back on your decision if you choose to we can take apart your new shaver which would void any warranty as well Thanks again Rick

I have no manual. My ms5500 isn"t charging properly and while it is on charge, it gets very hot.

Battery is wearing out. You can change them. See link below for correct battery type from shaveroutlet.com

An easier thing to do would be to purchase a factory refurbished MS-5200 from shaveroutlet.com. See link below. It is the same shaver as the MS-5500 but does not come with the clean/charge base.

The batteries are dead. They will need to be replaced or replace the shaver. You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com using the link below

Rechargable batteries have a limited lifespan.
New batteries may be in order.
How long have you used this shaver?

Hi just bought a new toaster today but stupidly chucked the reciept and manual away due to house clearing. PLugged it in but cannot work so am not sure if its faulty or just me not being able to figure out...

I have the same razor. If it has been sitting too long the internal nicad batteries may not accept a charge and this razor does require the internal battery to not be totaly dead even using with the power cord. Try leaving the unit plugged in for a week or so and see if it "wakes" up. It it is supposed to automatically charge when plugged in (leave the switch in the "off" position). Mine did eventually wake up and I got another few months useage out of it. The internal two cell nicad batteries are soldered to the circuit board inside and are NOT easy to replace. I happen to like the design of this razor to prevent ingrown hairs and Remington does not seem to have anything like it for sale anymore. This model has been discontinued as well as replacement blades.
