Your scooter does not have an engine if it is the Know-ped, or the Grow-ped like you have stated in your question. These are both Go-ped's "Push Scooters" and they do not have motors, or engines.

If your scooter is electric, check the throttle, Controller, batteries, wiring, and fuses for proper voltage.

If your scooter is Gasoline powered, check the fuel mixture, spark plug, carb air filter, fuel lines, or your air/fuel mixture.

If you have a sport, the scooter will not idle. Since the sport has a direct drive system, the scooter must be in motion to start the engine. The scooter will stall when you come to a stop, because of the direct drive.

Your sleve may be getting stuck on the spring, or the edge of the collapsing joint.

If your scooter's spring is caught, the sleeve will be very hard to pull up.
Check the path of the sleeve to make sure no snags are catching it.
Some grease may help, but the two surfaces in question are Aluminum, and not steel.

The folding mechanism should be hard to activate, because you do not want that to fail while you are in motion. Try to leave your scooter in the upright position mostly. :)

Replace the battery, after sometime the battery starts to lose it's initial capacity.

For battery replacement go to, select your scooter model, then click replacement parts and find the batteries on the part list.

There is no scooter option to choose from , so i picked G5 . my 2005 50cc BWS scooter runs fine for 6 blocks and then dies . it will not start again for about 30 min and it go another 6 blocks and dies...

It sounds like feul starvation, getting enough fuel for 6 blocks then dies. Check your fuel filtre, if one fitted, also check the baffle in exhaust, may need to decoke/Clean. Maybe leave it in for a service.

Filling the tank full is okay. The problem sounds like condensation in the gas tank has made it to the carburetor. There should be a screw or drain plug on the side or bottom of the carb float bowl. Drain the carb and also drain some gas from the fuel line to remove any water and trash in the system. Chances are this will get you back on the road.

Check your batteries, they might be ready to die. Stalling is a sign your are not getting enough power to the scooter and when you do, it runs until they run low again. Kinda like a cell phone batt, ones it dies and you wait awhile you can get it started but only for a couple of minutes before dying again.

Scooter stalls

Hi, the wiring must loose around the key switch, it might be a case of taking the tiller off and resoldering the wires onto the key switch. It not a major repair , just a case of getting the tiller panel apart and locating the wires to the switch.
