Toshiba dlp no picture

I have a 50 inch toshiba dlp i believe the model is 50dhm55 it freezes sometimes on hdmi inputs, i dont use any other inputs, and it wont unfreeze, if i turn it off and on it only displays a black screen however i am still able to pull up and navigate the menu, the only way i can get it to work afterwards is to power of let it cool down unplug and plug back in and it works fine, the tv just started doing this about a month and a half ago and its totally random sometimes it wont do it for weeks and sometimes twice a day. I now plugged the hdmi from my uverse dvr straight into the tv instead of my hdmi switcher and am trying to see if it still does it.
my setup is 5 hdmi components to hdmi switcher to home theater to tv
its always been setup like that and havent had any problems until now
any help is appreciated

SOURCE: Toshiba 52hm84 DLP-HDMI Component has been compromised?

This is a wild guess, but I believe that you are being **** by the movie industry. The HDMI protocol includes a form of DRM (Digital Rights Management) for high resolution content called: High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection Basically this means that the media (disk or broadcast) instructs the player (in your case the cable box) to insist that any downstream devices (your TV) is industry and DRM compliant. Specifically this evil protection scheme is designed to plug the analog hole and make it impossible for you to record or copy the movie by using an analog output from your TV. This even restricts the size of the TV you can play the movie on, thus preventing pubs and bars from displaying the content on big screen TVs without paying royalties. The message means that the manufacturer of your TV has refused to toe the industry line. 1984 Anyone ? Martin

I have a 50 inch Toshiba 50L4300U that has no picture but has sound. What board do I replace?

Do this test first. With the TV on normally, shine a flashlight on the screen. look for a dim moving picture.
1) If you see one, the backlight led driver isn't working.
2) If you DON'T see a picture replace the T-Con board.

I have a Toshiba tv that is connected to Direct tv and I want to know how to connect my new Phillips dvd player to it my tv?

Flat screens normally have 3 different inputs from tv. Regular is tv coax cable, then audio/picture by using special rca cables, then last HDMI. You can use any of those inputs except hdmi because you already are using that input. You may be able to buy a hdmi splitting device that will allow both the tv and the player to input to the single hdmi input. Check Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

My 52" Toshiba DLP just dropped an HDMI connection... There are two connectors on the back, both have worked fine until just now when one disappeared from the inputs menu on the screen.

Hi,
I'm not sure about your tv model as question post shows it is Toshiba 52HM84 that has one HDMI input at rear and you said 3 HDMI inputs in your tv.
Please unplug tv from wall socket for minute or so to get it reset, replug back in, turn it On and check its HDMI inputs appear or not.
Also check for Reset option in Menu for factory default settings that can also help you to get back disappeared HDMI inputs.
If all that does not solve the issue then it seems hardware problem with HDMI circuit board and tv repairman is needed for visual check to get it fix.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

I have a 42 inch rca tv model WB22YX5 componet inputs dont work

Sometimes, these inputs get damaged by ESD, or stray voltages, and become damaged. You may just need to give the set a reset, unplug an leave for 5 mins or so, and try again, if still no go, see if there is anything, in the troubleshooting procedures, that can help. It may just be a board replacement, If you decide, to get it repaired, please first contact RCA head office, and ask for a referral, to an authorised service center.

Toshiba regza all but the hdmi input on my 42 inch toshiba regza

In most cases the HDMI issues are the source itself. Try another item like a DVD player or BluRay player. If they work then its a compatibility issue. If they don't then the HDMI receiver board in the TV is bad. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

Toshiba DLP 60" TV not showing TV programs, sound ok

Have the tuner signal board replaced. HDMI does not use the regular tuner bands, it is bypassed when using hd inputs.

2 year old Samsung 50" DLP

Sounds like a bad digital board to me. Not too hard to replace in those models but, you do have to write down a few settings before replacing it. These settings are available in the service menu. Any questions let me know [email protected]
