Put that card in a Linux pc and wipe the file there - in Linux the file properties set by Windows are ignored.

Memory card is full and when I plug in the USB cord and turn on the camera I get a message that my device is not connected or is busy, or that it contains no pictures!!

Causes of memory card corruption
  • Turning off a camera before an image is completely written to the memory card.
  • Removing the memory card from a camera while an image is being written to the card.
  • Removing the card from a memory card reader while files are still being transferred to a computer.
  • Batteries conking out as files are being transfered directly from the camera to a computer. Note: always make sure you have fully charged batteries before transferring images.
  • Removing the card from a card reader while folders and files from the card are open on a computer.
  • Opening, deleting, renaming or moving files on the card while its contents are open on a computer.
  • Using a memory card which has not been formatted in the camera. Use the delete/erase function when needed, however a card should be regularly formatted.
  • Formatting a card in a computer instead of the camera.
  • Inserting a second memory card into a card reader before closing and removing the first when viewing images on the card from a computer.
  • Taking photos when camera batteries are nearly empty.
  • Taking photos too rapidly so the camera can not complete writing one image before starting the next.
  • Continually shooting and deleting, shooting and deleting images when the card is full.
  • Letting a memory card get too full before downloading the images to a computer or storage device. Cards that are too full may overwrite the card headers.
  • Using a memory card from one camera in a different camera without formatting it in the new camera first.

Good day. just removed my memory card from my camera and when i inserted in my card reader, all of my files were merged to 1 file, the USBC file. how do i retrieve my pictures?

let try using the Free Memory Card Recovery software and check if that helps. Also try inserting the memory card in the Camera and connect it to the Computer and check the operation.

You have to transfer the data to something else first. Move the files to another device then format the devices.

The phone is stucking up.. cant play music..cant view the pictures.

The phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

I forgot my memory card pasword, want to remove it without formatting. using Nokia 5300 XpressMusic RM-146.

well a tip from my side: 1 -the memory card works fine in the phone so u can connect ur phone to pc and transfer all files from memory card to a pc. 2-then remove memory card from phone and connect it directly to a pc and format it.this will remove everything from the card. 3 -if not working, put the card in any digital camera and format through the camera, this usually works :).

hope this helps

Dear sir, i copied one song and and a photo from the computer to my memory card, after that i cannot retrieve any datas from the memory card. All folders in the memory card shows only a single usbc file. ...

The card may have been removed improperly without closing it out before removing you can loose data just like that, this is why is it so critical not to pull cards or memory disc's or flash drives out without closing them first. The icon is at the bottom right hand corner of the desk top click on that link and disable the drives you are using before removing them. The information is still on your device go ahead and try again to that memory card unless you deleted it off of your camera or device you had the original on. You may have lost it this is why I personally do not delete anything until I make sure it is elsewhere then I delete the files off of my computer. I hope this assists you in future saving methods. I have done it a few times myself! John

How can i format my phone memory. i dont want to restore the settings. i want to format the phone memory

You cannot format your phone memory without doing factory restore settings. It is only memory card that you are allowed to format.

The option you have is deleting the files on your phone memory manually, that is one after the other. That is the only way you can remove files from your phone without doing factory restore.

I wish you the best.
