The unit is trying to read the disc. when it cant do this as a security feature so the disc is not jammed in the unit it discharges it. the reason is a dirty laser or bad disc. as im sure you have tried several disc then i would move to the last stage or repair you need to get the lazer clean there are two ways to do this send it into the shop for a servcie pro to take the unit apart and clean the lazer. but in most cases its just a little dust on the laser lens that can be removed using a laser disc cleaner you can buy them at most electronics shops that sell electronic equipment such as tvs dvds etc. they range from $5 to $40. purchase one and run it through you dvd player several times and you should be right back on track..

best of luck to you.

Make sure the tray is clean - no debris on tray If the disc is misaligned slightly it will spit it out
Make sure you are not putting them in upside down
and lastly find a new disk (not home made one) and see if this one works
Disks get damaged much easier than people realize\
If nothing works you have no choice but use a proffessional

Dvd/ cd rom does not read any cd/dvds (not even blanks or store bought) under my computer there is dvd drive there. everytime i click on it, it says to insert an disk, even though there is already an disk...

Sadly it sounds as if the drive has died/is dying. You could try cleaning the head with a CD/DVD head cleaner, as sometimes you can get a tiny piece of dirt on the lens. Another method to try is to blow hard (but avoid spitting!) into the open DVD tray, which can sometimes dislodge any dust. If all these fail, open the case, and check that the cables are securely attached.

Sadly, if none of the above work, the only likely way is to replace the drive itself.

How can I get my DVD to get unstuck out of my VCR/DVD player?

I can't get any support from sansui. I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk. It can't and its stuck in DVD mode. This is just something I would try I don't know if it will work. Unplug the power source hold down the eject button and plug it back in. The objective is to try to get it to spit that disk out before it has a chance to try to read it.I hope this helps. If it does give me a vote and I'll know it worked.

My dvd rom on my mac g4 powerbook won't read my disks, I insert it then it spits it back out.

Try different DVDs and then try different CDs. If it spits out all of them, then its time for a new optical drive.
