Question about Apple iPod touch 1st Generation (8 GB) MP3 Player
I was trying to update my ipod to version 3 IOS but it is not responding after a very long time ( 2hours!!) so i unplugged it and now it is asking me to restore my Ipod touch. Everytime I plugged it into the USB it says error 2003. I switched to a different USB port and now it says error 2009.

I had the same problem and I have now sucessfully fixed it! I have an iPod Nano which works perfectly and I bought a new 2nd generation Shuffle for my son. I could not get any music to synch to it or update the software. I followed the advice in the attached link and everything now works. Make sure you run your scan disk in your antivirus software after adding the .bat file and before attempting to connect to iTunes and synch to your iPod. Restore your iPod - the new software should load if necessary and then you should be able to synch. Good luck!
