Question about Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphic Calculator
Hello Lynn, please tell me how you solved your problem. I've done the exact same thing with no positive results. Thanks in advance for your time.
If it won't turn on most of the time what I do is take the back cover off the calculator. 6 t-6 torx screws and 1 phillips screw for the back-up battery. then pop the cover apart and on the back part where you put the batteries you should see 2 little metal probes sticking out that make contact with the pads on the calculator board. bend these to a 45 degree angle and it will make better contact with the pads. what causes this is that the metal will very so slightly expand and contract with the temp changes and cause the metal probes to lose their contact with the board, in turn killing all power to the board. give it a shot. it will most likely work
