Usually if you open the d: (depending on what drive your using)
There will be a document called key.doc or key.txt that you can open and get the product key back.

    If you have windows xp:

    start, run, regedit

    edit, find, type: ProductID

meaning production identification or product key.

If you have installed it before, you should still have the product key listed.

Hi,

Laptops that have pre-installed Microsoft Office in it usually have 60-day trial version or Microsoft Office starter. The trial version may be a Home edition and has the full features but will ask for a product key after the trial period expires. The MS Office Starter only has limited features for MS Word and Excel only, but this is not a trial version.

If you want to continue using the trial MS Office or want the full functionality of MS Word and MS Excel plus MS powerpoint etc, you need to follow the steps provided to activate or purchase a product key from the application itself. You need to purchase the product key from Microsoft since this program is unfortunately not free.

Hope this helps.

Lost cd installer

If you mean the OS cd installer, and you are trying to reinstall, you have three options.
1. See if you have a recovery partition to reinstall with (usually from OEM). You can contact the manufacturer for this information.
2. You can recover your legit key from your current operating system by running a program like Product Key from Nirsoft (Click here) or Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder (click here) to recover your legit product key. Then acquire a install disc (for the same exact OS you are using now) to use for the install then use your legit product key to activate the OS.
3. Purchase an OS or switch to a free alternative such as Linux, BSD, etc.
Hope this was helpful. Thanks for visiting FixYa.com

My ms office got deleted wen my laptop got crashed can i download ms office 4 free as of now i don hav de ms cd now..

Did the MS Office (full version) come pre-installed on your computer when you purchased the computer ?
If yes, then you had paid for it, when you paid for the computer, so contact the manufacturer of your computer for it's product key, after which download the trial version of it and use your product key to get it activated.
If did was not pre-installed on your computer and you had it installed after you bought the computer, using it's disc and you have lost the disc (and product key), then the only option is to buy it again, either a disc version or a downloadable version.

Product key for microsoft office on Acer Aspire computer

Hi There,

Because of the tough economic climate, Microsoft is finally installing fully activated MS Office products on some computers cooperating with some brands of laptops to entice buyers. This has only happened in the last 2 months.

For your situation you really only have 2 viable choices. 1. Purchase the key from Microsoft or, 2.You can download OpenOffice.org's free Office Suite. It is fully compatible with all MS Office documents and has programs equivalent to MS Word and Excel. Documents in OpenOffice can also be read by people with fully acitvated versions of MS Office.

There is one other option that I've seen but might not fit your "comfort" level. In my area, people who cannot afford to purchase an MS Office key at full price often post a request ad on the local Craigslist asking for someone to sell them a key from a retail purchase MS Office where 3 computers can be activated but the original purchaser only used one of the activations. Be sure that if you do this, it is the exact version as your trial version, or use the other persons disc to do an upgrade as their key will be tied to their disc in many cases.

Best Wishes

My laptop has microsoft office home and student 2007 version,,it keeps on asking the product key,,,,it has a window 7 operating system,,need help

Hi. I think sir the version of MS Office that you have there is only a trial version, because most of the laptops or notebook machines come only with a trial version of MS Office and I think its good only for 3 months or after 20 times of use, then it will ask for a new product. If you havent use it for 3 months or 20 times then you can just close the message box that its ask you for a product key, if not then you should purchase the license activation key from microsoft directly or you could purchase a full version of MS Office 2007 from a retailer or again from Microsoft directly. Hope This Helps

Lost my product key for ms office home and student 2007. Laptop has been repaired and now its asking me for the key code. can you help? chrissie leach

When you have bought Office it came with a key - you can find this key either on the reinstall disk or in the purchase papers. If you can't find it your only option is to phone Microsoft, provide a proof of purchase and they will give you another key for free.
