Question about Canon PIXMA MP470 All-in-One Printer

1 Answer

Will not print, yellow light stays on

I have plugged and unplugged; put in a new cartridge; gone to "menu" and asked for help; for no known reason the printer stopped printing in the middle of a job and now will not print anything. Each time I try to get it to print, the printer does nothing and the yellow light goes on. My printer is a PIXMA MP480, but I cannot find that model in the list.

Most problem experienced with hp photosmart c6180 is the yellow catridge error. Try cleaning the contact surface of the catridge and the printer using moistened cotton buds..if error continues, you should clear the error that keeps on displaying.. here's how: press & hold "*" key...while holding, press "#" key and then release both keys..."Enter Special Key Combo" will be displayed...press "1", "2" and "3" to display "Support"...press ">" right arrow button and release when "System Config Menu" appear....press "OK" and/or arrow key to display "Hardware Failure Status"...press "OK"....when "Hardware Failure Status:Clear" appeared, press "OK" to clear...press "OK" again to display "Hardware Failure Status Cleared. Press Cancel To Continue".....press "CANCEL" as many times to display "Welcome To Photosmart Express" or "Ink System Failure".....the last part is to turn off the printer and unplug at the back...wait for 30 sec, then plug and turn on the printer...if asked, press "OK" to continue and allow the "One Time Ink Initialization" to procede..After this try to print...

HP 6000 Won't print with yellow cartridge

Try this :

Take out the power cable from the back of the printer keep on tapping the power button for 30 secs ; then plug it back.
Take out the catridges clean them with a Lint free cloth (copper contacts); also clean the catridge slot of the printer; put in back the catridges ;
Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer; press and hol down the (#) and the (6) button simultaneously with one hand and with the other hand put in back the power cable; and then release the (#) and (6) button;
It will perform a reset on the printer
IF still then it doesn't work then the catridge slot's copper contacts has gone bad and need to replace

Yellow cartridge warning light showing and printer does not recognise cartridge. Had artanium bulk system attached for 12 months, so the system has been ok for last 12 months. put standard epson cartridge...

First try power cycling the printer to reset the chip on your bulk cartridge (turn off printer, unplug, wait 30 sec, plug in, turn on). If that didn't fix it then you may have damaged the chip on your bulk cartridge with static electricity when you removed it from the printer. If the chip is damaged you need a new chip if you can get it or a new bulk cartridge (to get the new chip).

Hp 2110 All in One Printer

Does the machine ask you to "align" the print cartridges when you turn the machine back on? If the alignment page when finished printing is missing a key color (say yellow), then the alignment will not succeed.
