The water level is controlled by a switch that attaches to a tube coming from the bottom of the tub. If that tube is compromised by a hole or simply fell off the switch then the water pressure won't build in the tube and shut down the switch.I used the washer after several months of non use. - a329de6.jpgThe switch above is not exactly like yours. But it has a tubing going to it like that. Blow through the tubing to remove sediment then reattach the tubing securely. Pump out the water and then retry. No parts needed.

If you were flooded then drain hose does not seem to be clogged. Yes severe thumping would or could cause washer to bounce around enough to pull drain hose out. Thumping would be because of unbalanced load. Or worn dampers and/or springs. Post make and model for better answers.

Floods floor when on rince cycle Program Bed andBath. Fault intermittant

If you didn't flood the floor when the washer emptied on the wash cycle, it is more likely that you have a partially plugged up drain than a malfunctioning washer!

Has you drains been cleaned lately, being the spring time you might have a root problem partially blooking the drains.

Watch you washer, if the washer flushes the water down the drain line it is working. If the water comes over the top of the drain line, then you have a slow drain.

My washing machine will not empty of water and this is preventing it from spinning.how do i empty the water via pump filter as i have no manual and it will not let me download one.please help!

This is could be caused from several issues. First I would try changing cycles on the timer to another spin cycle to see if that let the washer drain. Some times the timer malfunctions and doesn't allow the washer to spin. If this doesn't work and you can hear the motor running then you could have a broken belt or bad clutch or a wig wag (electric solenoids that operate the transmission.). The easiest way to empty the washer if it's located near a floor drain is to remove the drain hose from the drain and lay it on the floor near the drain. The water will run right out of the machine. If you not near a drain then you can use a Wet / Dry Shop Vac, remove the paper filter from inside the Shop Vac and then your ready to vacuum out the water. You will need to empty the vac several times.
Or you can use a garden hose and siphon the water out by place in one end in the washer and the other end outside or near a drain, You will need to **** on the end of the hose that's near the drain or outside. This will almost guarantee you a mouth full of laundry water so be careful if you try this.

the only way to drain this water out is go to the back of the washer and pull out the out let pipe from the drain on the wall, put it in a bucket and the water should drain out most of the way,,,, at least it should not flood the floor so bad when you open the washer door

My kenmore washer will aggitate and drain but not spin. what gives?

Possibly not draining fully , so drum is too heavy to spin , check , clean and replace drain filter and try again .N.B. If there is still washing / water in the machine you need to remove this first or you risk flooding your kitchen floor.

Another flood. GE washer

The water sound is normal. There is a solution in the top of inner tub for balance. Is it overflowing...as in not stopping the fill cycle? If so check to make sure small hose is still attached to outer tu at bottom left front. This dome that it connects to can become filled with scum and causes the unit to not know that it's full. This causes flooding. You can try removing hose and cleaning out with thin wire. Sometime only fix is to replace outer tub. Again, this is only if overflowing!!
Another possibility is a bad break allowing outer tub to spin in agitation. This throws water up over sides of tub. Monitor unit when agitating to see if outer tub picks up speed and starts to spin. It is normal for it to index.

Blinking lights and failure to start

Suggestion: 1 Press and hold down 'spin' & 'dry' buttons to unlock controls. 2 Have u overloaded the machine with clothes? Reduce load. 3 Try 'spin' only after putting the clothes. Then put off machine & continue with main cycle. Three suggestions here........ What is the clothes capacity of the machine; try to limit within capacity. Try the "spin only" function aft putting the clothes. Then put the machine off & continue with the main cycle.
