Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
It says one of my disks needs to be checked for consistency. And the start up process stalls there. I have rebooted several times and it keeps coming back to the same spot and stalling.

Are you connected to the internet?
Usually when people have this problem it means their computer is not connecting to the internet to check the product key.
All you need to do is connect once and it should not display again.
Let me know if this does not help

if you have a windows xp computer there is no check disk window anymore it is automatic, but you can go to mycomputer right click your hardrive and click the tools option there you will see a disk check option, i also advise running a virus scan on the whole computer to make sure there is nothing in the system
