Question about Mitsubishi WD-73827 73" HDTV DLP TV
I have a mitsubishi WD 73827 that has the blinking green light of death. I have already tried the reset button several times and unplugging everything including all the cable and audio devices to see if the Blinking green light of death would disapear. Since the T.V. doesnt work i figured I had nothing to loose so off came the back covers so i could access the wiring. I unplugged everything visable and replugged it back in. Most of the components i could unplug related to the optical engine and the ie 1934 converter box. After plugging and uplugging the T.V. for 45 minutes I heard the optical engine fire up and the T.V started. I thought there must have been a loose wire and thats why the tv started but the remote control was virtually useless. The bateries where new yet the remote could only opperate the channel up and down button. When I hit volume the volume icon displayed on the screen but quickly disapeared. It seemed the T.v. had lost its visibility to the remote. Since i unplugged everything several times I thought I may have pulled something from the front of the T.V so I pulled the front cover exposing the card reader and several conections. From what i could tell it seemed ok. no buttons seemed to be stuck. I decided to turn off the t.v set and push the reset once again. This time the t.v started but nothing worked on the remote. so I turned off the tv and hit reset for what was the last time. Now the Tv did not fire back up and nothing on the remote worked. I uplugged everything once again and prayed i would have sucess. No luck. I have read about the capacitors needing to be replaced but I'm not sure if that is the case. There has to be something else wrong if the remote would not opporate the T.V. once it refired up. The color on the T.v also seemed to be off. all the colors but especially red seemed to be cloudy.
could anyone offer advice on what component may be going screwy
