You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn Off the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Altgr" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Altgr+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

Reset cmos/bios

I would usually search the manufacture website for the mother board specs and FAQ's. Usually incorrectly setting the cmos/bios and rebooting fails several times, it will reset to the manufactures default settings. I have needed to use another monitor if the PC has more then 1 VGA or higher def port to see what the messages are reporting. There are other control and function key combos, varies by manufactures.

How do i switch to windows wireless configuration utility

If you are using Windows XP, Vista, or Server 2003, you have an option in how your wireless network card is managed. You can choose to use your manufacturer's Configuration Utility software, or you can use the configuration software built in to Windows.

If you wish to switch between your manufacturer's Wireless Configuration Utility and the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration service:

1. Go to Network Connections (from the left panel of My Network Places)
2. Right click on the icon for your wireless network card, and choose Properties
3. In the Properties dialog box, choose the middle "Wireless Networks" tab
4. Check or Uncheck the box on the top that enables Windows management of wireless connections
5. Click OK

A reboot is recommended. If you are using any form of WPA or 802.1X security, you will likely need to reboot the computer before you will be able to access your wireless Access Point -- even if it is configured correctly.

Even when both the manufacturer's software and the Wireless Zero Configuration services are running, the Configuration Utility should detect when Windows is not managing the connection and give you access to its own configuration options.

Likewise, Windows should detect when it is not enabled to control the wireless network configuration, and disable access to the Windows configuration options.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

Before proceeding, be sure to download a local copy of the manufacturer's software and driver should you find yourself with a disabled network card and a need to reinstall the software.

A. If you suspect that Windows is interfering with your wireless network, regardless of the setting, you can disable the underlying service. If the Wireless Zero Configuration service is disabled, Windows will not be able to manage the wireless network -- regardless of any setting. To permanently disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service, click Start, Run, and input services.msc and press Enter. In the Services window that follows, find the Wireless Zero Configuration service, double-click it, and change the startup option to Disabled. Reboot. If you still have issues, uninstall and reinstall your manufacturer's software now that the Wireless Zero Configuration Service is disabled. It should set itself up correctly now.

B. If the Manufacturer's configuration software is interfering with Windows' management of your wireless card, consider uninstalling your Manufacturer's software. Windows only needs the driver in order to communicate with your card and manage the wireless network. Everything else is optional. Remove the software from Add/Remove programs. The uninstall program might give you an option to uninstall everything except for the driver, or it might have separate Add/Remove Program entries for the utility. If it does not, then reinstall the software using the local copy you downloaded and look for an option that installs only the driver.

How do i reboot ,my laptop offline. internet explorer won't let me online i have viruses

Before you worry about restoring your computer, see if you can clean up the trouble. From another computer, download MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware (the free version) and put it on a flash drive. Install it in your computer and run a full scan. This is a very effective program, updated continuously as new bad software comes along, and is the first thing I try when someone calls me for help.

If MBAM doesn't fix it, you can try another program called ComboFix. You can get it here. (A tutorial and download link is here at BleepingComputer.com, a good site for getting information and help on computer troubles.)

If you need to restore your computer (you said "reboot", but I assume you mean "restore", which puts the original factory software image back on), you'll need the manufacturer's recovery disc or discs. Older computers usually came with a set, but most newer computers no longer have the discs included. Since CD or DVD writers are standard equipment, the manufacturer provides a utility program that lets you make your own recovery discs after you set up the computer. This is a step many people ignore, however. If you don't have a recovery set, you might be able to purchase one from the manufacturer, or you can install a fresh copy of Windows yourself.

Try MBAM first, then ComboFix if necessary. Chances are very good that this will get your computer going again. Good luck, and thanks for using Fixya!

Display of letters on the monitor is very poor (not on MS-DOS). Is a monitor driver missing?

What resolution have you got??

Go to right click any where on clear part of desktop / properties / settings /screen resolution / move slider to best setting for you.
If it is greyed out, then you need to download the video driver from the manufacturers website / install / reboot / go through the above settings again.

What are the manufacturers set up codes to reboot my computer

To reboot the computer, turn it off then turn it on, this is how you reboot.

There are no set up codes. Even if you install an operating system,
the only thing that is done during set up, is the install of the product
serial number.

Check this site for bios beep codes... http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm

I would also check on your computer temperature, the cpu, graphics card and motherboard temp... make sure they dont overheat. temp differs for each component so just research the manufacturer and recommended temps for your computer

Prior to re-installing your OS, backup all your documents..
Insert your recovery disk cd on the cd rom drive and reboot your pc.

As it reboots press any key to continue so it will boot from cd and delete the partition, create a partition and active it.

Then install the OS which goes to C:\ drive. After the installation is complete install all the drivers and the applications. You can go to the manufacturer's website and download others drivers as needed.

Activate Windows then go to Microsoft Update
