Hi the problem can be solve, but you would need to remove the screen and try another screen on the computer to see if it is only the screen or other parts of the computer.

Question -Please tell me what happen when you turn on the computer?

if the root is bad, you'll probably need to repair the disk from a boot disk.

Where to buy used mac notebook parts

ebay can be a good place. powerbookmedic.com is a pretty good place too. they have new and used parts (used parts aren't always available, however on a laptop this old, i would assume they have some) and also have videos and PDF files on step by step disassembly. I have found it to be a pretty good resource for apple repair. hope this helps:)

Powerbook g4 going to white screen only!!

Do you have any external harddrive attached to it? If so, remove it before restarting. Try to start it up in safe mode by holding the Shift button down at startup: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455

Powerbook won't start up

If you have the original install CD or the OSX CD, boot to CD. To do that you must insert CD, restart PowerBook and hold letter "C" on keyboard while computer is starting, then take the first steps towards installing the OS, when you get to the bar on the top go to Tool>Utilities>Disk Utilities then select the drive a do a disk repair. That may fix the problem and bring your system back to booting normally.
