Good day,
In the freezer if it has an ice maker, it will have to be removed.
Remove the back panel. Below the cooling coil is a drain pan.
It has a drain hole in it. If it is iced over you will have to defrost it, with the machine off.
Many use a hair dryer, but hot water with a turkey basting tool is
Once the drain hole is open, you will have to follow thru since the water drains into a cup in the fresh food compartment then thru the back wall into a drain hose on the rear.
Blockage can occur anywhere thru that area.
Service techs usually use compressed air with a hose to blow the lines clear.
If you have no access to something like that you wil have to get creative. Removing all the components and flushing them out is one option.

Water at bottome of refrigerator

Under the draws in the back, there should be a drain hole that drains water down to the drain pan under the unit. Check to make sure it's not blocked with food or frozen water.

On humid days water puddles in the bottom of the frig.

Sounds like the door is not closing properly so humid air is coming into the fridge OR door not closing properly and the humid air is condensing around the door so it is leaking the condensation OR

The water from the defrost cycle is not evaporating so it overflows from the evaporator pan above the compressor. You better call a service technician before getting some floor damage (Do not call A&E)

There is a defrost drain located at the rear wall inside the frig.
I usually take a large syrenge with a rubber hose attached to it. I fill it with hot water and insert it into the drain cup sealing it to the small hole at the rear of the cup. Force the hot water through the hole in the rear of the cup and this should clear anything stuck in the drain.
I hope this helps.

Leaking water into frig when defrosts

The problem is the defrost drain is pluged. At the rear of the frig section up at the top you will see a small cup where the water drains into. I always used a large syringe with a rubber hose attached. Fill the syringe with hot tap water and flush the ice out of the drain tube. Once cleaned out and the water runs freely your problem will be solved.

You will need to remove the food from the freezer and remove the ice maker if so equipped . Remove the 2 screws from the bottom freezer panel ( you will probably see a layer of ice here ) , and the 2 screws holding the inside rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the center , below the coils , defrosting , until you see a drain hole . You want to defrost this hole ( hot water helps ) until water starts to flow down . Use a small hose inserted into the drain hole and blow thru it , to remove any unseen debris , built up inside the drain line . Reassemble the freezer .

The backed up ice must be completely removed and the line cleared all the way to the collection pan.make sure the frig is positioned so the water drains quickly. you can also wrap a piece of 10 gauge copper wire around the defrost heater and allow it to stick into the drain hole a few inches without touching the drain tube to keep it from refreezing again. Kenmore 106.78202890 Ref. Icemaker seems to work fine. No water leaks when it fills but I have water in the refrigerator section that seems to be draining from the freezer. Any ideas?

Hi there, I believe you may have a defrost drain problem. See the water has to drain somewhere else when the drain is stopped up. So instead of into the catch basin on the bottom of the frig it cascades down the backside of the frig and ends up under the crispers. To fix the problem you must clear the defrost drain. It is located beneith the evaporator coils. When the frost on those coils melt it turns to water. Remove the freezer access panel, and clean out the drain. Use some hot water or a shop vac.

Water acculation in refridgerator.

I had a similar problem with my old hotpoint frig (top freezer, bottom frig). the defrost cycle would come on and melt the ice, but since the drain plug in the back of the freezer below the coils would eventually freeze up closed due to ice accumulation. It got to the point I had to shut down the whole unit and leave it open for around 8 hours to let it naturally melt the ice in the drain tube. I hear a gurgle sound and then a sound of water flowing, so I knew it was now draining again.
