Check to see if the webcam has a focus ring around the lens that you can rotate to sharpen the image
You can also launch the Logitech toolbar and fine trim the picture in the Settings menu
Start the webcam first in the Quick Capture Menu so you can monitor adjustments.
Your USB socket may be losing power - this is important if your webcam needs a 2.0 USB socket
Check your DirectX software out - when was the last time you updated ? I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.
You may have to re-install the software
Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.
Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?"
In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to download Microsoft DirectX 9 or later to support your webcam
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.
Connect your webcam when prompted.
