Dvd player combo (by 2 users)

My dvd player wont play.It reads the disc then says disc error.The player has not been bumped in any way.I have tried several discs that have been played before and the same thing happens disc error

Apprenticeuncompatable disk?if not try cleaning the lens of the player by using a cd/dvd lens cleaner...the cd thing with the two brushes stuck onto it...with some cleaning fluid
