Borrow the CD-ROM that Kodak supplied with the printer, and install the device-driver printer software from the CD.

Or, from the manufacturer's web-site, download the same device-driver software, and install it.

My kodak hero 4.2 won't power up?

Hello, First check to see that the power plug has power. If it does then make sure the power cord and seated correctly into the back of the printer. Reseat the power cord and try the power switch. If that doesn't work, will have too replace the power cord. If that doesn't fix will have to take in for repair or call kodak tech support with model and serial number and walk thru trouble shooting.

If the machine works ok with the old cartridge back in the then new cartridge is faulty. It happens many times that new cartridges fail straight away. This is a particular problem with recycled cartridges and hp inkjects. Use a new genuine HP cartridge.

I just purchased a new Kodak 5200 All-in-one printer and I cannot get my screen page to open up what did I do wrong.

Connect it to your computer with the cord, make sure the other cord is plugged into the wall outlet and the most important thing...run the installation cd that came with the printer. If that doesn't do the trick, let me know.

My printer wont turn on

Dear Sir,

If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
  1. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
  2. Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the back of the computer.
  3. Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or iPod.
  4. Reset the computer's PMU, SMC, or PRAM. Refer to the instructions for your model:
  5. Try plugging a different power cord into the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power cord.
  6. If the computer uses a power adapter, try connecting a different power adapter to the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power adapter. (Computers that use a power adapter include MacBook, MacBook Pro, iBooks, PowerBooks, Power Mac G4 Cube, and Mac mini.)
  7. If you tried all of the steps above and the computer still won't turn on, contact Apple technical support (1-800-APL-CARE in the U.S.) or take your computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using

This is Kodaks suggestion:

Verify that the large end of the AC power cord is inserted fully into a power outlet.
Verify that the small end of the AC power cord is inserted fully into the DC-in port on the back of the printer.
Turn on any power strip or wall switch that is connected to the printer.
