Thanks for your help, as far as I can tell it doesn't have a self-clean feature :( do you think it is more likely to be the sensor then?

Not that familiar with the brand but in other case have fourn the board to be engaging the self clean. not a good sign. and for this model i would think very costly. wishful thinking says the oven temp sensor but i think you have a fauly board. get the same thing with alot of frigidaire ranges.

My Baumatic BS65MS oven is cooking too hot, it burns everything. I have turned down the temperature, this doesn't help. What would be the problem?

You may have a stuck thermostat and that should be replaced because he's probably telling the other keep eating even though the temperature the temperature would be correct

think your new oven is too hot or too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference. You can also adjust your thermostat if your oven is not new, since thermostats may "drift" from the factory setting over time. See the "Adjust the Oven Thermostat"

Why is there a loud noise coming from control panel when I turn on the oven?

How often does it happen? Sounds like your control board is starting to fail. The Repair Shack can fix the oven control board if it needs repaired.

This is quite normal.

Most ovens are fan assisted these days it gives more even temperature distribution and faster cooking times.

You will probably get used to the noise fairly quickly.

Odd loud fan type noise

what you are describing is the cooling fan. That fan will come on to keep the electronic control panel cool. It is normal for tat to come on even if your done with the oven. I dont think is should be as loud as you describe. I would try the oven again and if it is still loud I would call for service because it is new. That fan will also come on when you use the self clean cycle.
