Most likely justneed a temp sensor. there is a rod that comes through back of oven. you will find it inside oven on back wall.

Oven won't heat up, but no error codes

I called the repairman for help. Turns out that one of the suggestions would have worked if I could go to basement turn off breaker then run up and carry out the suggestion and run to the basement again and turn back on breaker, then up again faster. The repairman was able to fix problem by using me as the go between the breaker and the oven. He stayed up and I stayed down thereby eliminating the problem of not being able to run up and down fast enough myself. The two of us were able to make things happen in the time limit. I think I should have gotten a break on the bill since I played helper!! If anyone else has this problem and has closer access to the breakers than I, they would be able to cut the repairman out of the picture and save the service fee. Maybe I should run up and down from oven to breakers for a set amount of time for exercise in preparation for the next oven problem. May be easier to get a new oven without a computer in it if such a thing exist anymore because at 77+ I don't think I am going to get much faster even with exercise.

Kenmore oven

Hi
My experience with gas ovens was 50 years ago, judging by that experience I think that there is something that stops the gas comming through like it should. If I remeber correctly pipe with the holes can be removed and the holes cleaned. Th is was 50 years ago some things do not change. Take a look.

My Kenmore propane oven is taking long then time needed to bake something

Hello,

A very common problem when gas(both propane and natural) oven takes longer to heat properly is going to be a weak igniter . Since its weak its not fully opening the gas valve and not enough gas is flowing to produce the proper flame size/heat. By replacing the oven igniter it will heat as its supposed to .

Do I leave the oven door open a little while broiling?

Hi,
Yes, it is a good idea to let it open just in the first posistion which gives it about a 3 or 4 inch opening at the top. This will hold enough heat in to broil your food but will let enough out so that the ovenwill not over heat and it will keep the burner on. Usually broiling times are not that long so this will not over heat your home or present any other dangers. Of course you still want to preheat the oven with the door cloded for best results.

Oven doesn't heat up enough

More than likely the oven requires a new thermostat, but would recommend an Appliance Repairer to confirm this solution.
