Try and run the program in compatability mode, sounds like it may not be compatable with your OS.
Try Malwarebytes if you have no luck with webroot

My go clever quantum 1010N does not get past the boot up loading screen. you turn the power on it goes to a white screen that says loading and goes no further, why?

Booting into safe mode usually indicates a problem with the machine. When powering it on, keep punching F8 for the "Safe Mode" boot option window and try choosing "Last good Configuration". You might try Restoring it back to before this started. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and then System Restore.

My gx60 isn't bootin up..it says loading project..how do I fix this

From your photo, it looks like windows XP has fully loaded. I would assume the "Loading Project" is from a program, not windows. I would boot up in safe mode and try to do a system restore to when your computer was working. Here's how to boot up in safe mode:
* Press F8 key repeatedly while booting up, right before windows begins to load up. Black screen with white letters usually.
* You should get a few options. Select boot in safe mode with networking.
* once XP loads, Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.

Dell dimension 3100 wont load to main screen

You may need to roll back system with System Restore. Under Safe Mode (press F8 during boot and choose Safe Mode). Win 7 - Start > Search type System Restore. XP - Is Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates. Uninstall last program(s) that was installed, again in safe mode.
Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Cmos checksum bad boots to the splash screen then goes black with a blinking white line tried reseting the jumper cmos no luck load default settings no luck removed psu and battery no luck

This error is not the same as a CMOS Checksum Error, which refers to corrupted values of the CMOS settings, the ones you set through the BIOS setup program. This error means the contents of the BIOS code itself are damaged.

During the boot process you will see on the screen a certain key to press to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
You will also need to set the time and date

In the main or system setup screen you should be able to see the date and time Using your arrow keys navigate to the date and change the date. Once highlighted on the month, day, or year, press your arrow keys or your page up / page down keys to change the date.

hope this helps you

When windows tries to fire up, does it ask you whether to boot up in safe mode or normal (would be a black and white MS DOS screen with no mouse functions)? If not, you need to reboot your computer and go into boot options. There should be a little comment line in one corner of the screen before windows loads that says something like F2 Setup F12 Boot Menu. Do you get that once it has begun trying to execute windows?

My logo comes up then the intel logo and a small white line then the screen goes black and nothing else will load. Is there something I can try?

Try loading in "SafeMode" when you cut on computer, tap F8, a screen will pop up with a bunch of ways to start the computer, arrow to "Safe Mode" and press enter, If it boots now you probably have a virus. If you have a antivirus program run it.

I have a problem installing my Vimicro USB PC Camera 305 on my Windows XP. I start to install but still doesn't work. I try to uninstall but I cant do that from CONTROL PANEL pls tell me how to do that....

It is a pain.
Try the following. Re-run install, insert CD and it should start to load?

The exception is it should come up and say do you wish to uninstall Blah blah . Click Yes. When finished it will want to restart.

Before restart, remove usb webcam. restart.
Go to my poota/programs/and look for the camera file/ it may have been removed in that no problem/ if file is still there/right click/remove. Restart.
Complete restart/then setup CD Webcam again. Sit with it click Ok when asked even not a recognized prog, still click continue.
After completion. Reinsert usb of webcam! wait till it loads, asking silly Q, continue. till finish.
If sucessful, find it in programs if you didn't click for desktop icon?
Startup screen should show small white screen, couple of Q's it can't do something, ignore. You will end up with blank white/black square.
Click menu at top, click devices, dropdown click your cam name, should then open to a larger screen. If you need to alter things, click options.
All this of course if it loads.

Best of British.
