There under the number pad is a little door and depending on the model number you will have to take a little screw out and slide it down or insert under it a little screw driver and pop off the cover and replace the battery. You should not have to reprogram this device after. Thanks BB

My garage door opener does not work when using the keypad just outside my garage to open/close my garage door. I checked & changed batteries. Car remotes work fine. Are buttons getting worn out?

You may want to try re-linking it to the opener (this worked on mine).
If that doesn't work it could be the button are worn out or it could be something like the transmitter is faulty.
If it won't re-link with new batteries, i would just replace it.

The remote does not work on the outside of the garage. The batteries have been replaced, and I did reprogram the remotes. What's next?

My key pad outside I had to program by punching in my code and pushing in a button on the overhead unit and holding it till the light flashes two or three times. It took two of us because I am not fast on my feet to get up there.

You shouldn't need to reprogram the pad; it functions as before simply sending a signal to the opener that has the programing saved in it.

Have you tried adjusting the antenna position? If you can't find a good position for the antenna, you may want to extend it and bring it close to or outside the garage door opening.

The garage key pad has stopped working

The most common problem for your situation is that the battery in your wallmounted key pad needs to be replaced. unscrew the little screw on the face of the device, remove the battery and replace it with one just like it. Radio shack usually has these batteries

If you have replaced the battery and everything else is working then the keypad has most likely quit. Replace it with one of the same model.

Outside garage door key pad will not function in very cold weathe

Yes, that is an issue.  My suggestion is to replace the outside keyless with a wired keyless (Domino GD-1).  This will get your batteries inside so they can stay warm.
