I've seen some claims that this version will install with W10.

In looking around I've seen lots of people having this problem since an update of W10 in late 2015.
I'm staying on W7 because of older games and the fact that Microsoft can follow every last little thing you do on W10.

You have to install a new one, either you download it from the net or you get an original microsoft office suite from a licenced microsoft dealer and instal it on your computer to get the microsoft word.

MS Office is not a free program.

You cannot get Microsoft Office for free , but you can a free alternative that functions just like it! It is also compatible with the file types from Microsoft Office so you don't have to worry about compatibility. This software is called "OpenOffice" and you can get it here:
