Prbably a roller. generally the one closest to the heating element. you can clean the shaft and the inside of the roller put a little wd40 and see how long it lasts

The a/c compressor has a slight squeak to it every time it rotates and it spins intermitently. Like one or two seconds apart. I've added sum refrigerant but nothing's changed. Sometimes it'll work fine...

When you put Freon in, there should be oil in the freon also. Usually says it on the bottles. Make sure it is not the belt making chirp sounds either. Loose belt can make them chirps or squeaks.

These rarely go out, you can find them all over the wrecking yards also if you need one.

I have a 2002 mustang and it is making a squeaking noise and the battery light comes on. Both happen intermittently but I haven't had any change in the battery gauge. Do I need a new alternator?

the sound is either the alternator belt (as in way too loose), or bad bearings in the alternator and it seizes up intermittently and the belt screeches as it slides on the pulley. your gauge is telling you the amount of voltage at the battery, but the light is a charge indicator and it is pointing you to the alternator.

The engine in my automatic '91 Integra intermittently makes a loud squeaking noise...it sounds to be coming from the left side of the car under the hood. It is not the fan/fan belt, as the noise...

are you sure its not your fan belts? because if fan belts are not turning, it means that the engine is off. check if the tension in your fan belts are still ok. if not, have it re tensioned. if noise is still present, have it changed.

Dryer makes loud squeaking sound when spining

how old? Dryers squeak for one of 3 reasons..bad belt, bad motor or drum rubbing against dryer framework.
run it empty...intermittent squeaks usually are the drum...something's bent
continuous- is there any burning smell? If so, most likely the motor, if not, possibly the belt.
Open the top (most have screws or can just be pried open) and watch it run...identify the source of the sound if possible

try spraying the belt and motor with a little wd-40 and let it dry for a day, then try again.
If that doesn't help, repairman or new/used dryer...probably better off to find a decent one off of craigslist b4 paying to repair an already faulty machine

Asko TD 70 intermitent squeaking replaced belt and brushes about 2 yrs ago maybe a loose roler or replacement or lubrication?

For intermittent squeaking-

You have to remove the back of the dryer and expose the motor and drive assemblies.

Check the drive belt idler pulley
Check for any strange sounds coming from the motor
Check the drum support rollers - they support the dryer drum, usually in 3 places. They can sometimes be lubricated, but generally don't last that long because there is usually roller shaft damage by then, requiring replacement.

Dryer squeekes on and off

Hello.

Intermittent squeaking usually arises from drum rollers, a bearing at the back of the tub or the pulley for the belt. Locate where the squeak is coming from the loudest and you can narrow down the cause.

Loud in the back middle: Drum bearing kit

Loud in the back bottom: Drum rollers.

Loud in the top front: Drum glides

Lound in the bottom front: Belt pulley.
