"Unsupported Signal" means that your laptop is probably set to a resolution or refresh rate that yoru TV doesn't support. You will need to go into your Laptops video settings to make them match what your tv will display.
Right click on your desktop, choose properties then settings you can change the screen resolution there. Windows will change back in 15 seconds to the old resolution. Try the different resolutions availbe to you.
If the problem is still there then you may need to go into setting on your tv and click the hdmi to on
