Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. In order to help you reprogram your DISH network remote to your TV to control your TV functions such as power on/off of TV and volume, I would need the model number of the remote and the brand name of your TV. You should be able to locate the model number of your remote on the back of the remote at the top usually a 2 to 3 digit number with a decimal point. I will list here for you the instructions for reprogramming your remote to your DISH receiver to control your receiver functions. If you would also like me to help you get your DISH remote reprogrammed to your TV please email me directly at [email protected] with your remote model number and the brand name of the TV. I hope you find this information useful and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email me.
Instructions for addressing the remote to your receiver.
Go to System Info screen.You can do this by either pressing the system info button on the front of the receiver or you can press the power button once and then the channel up button once on the front of the receiver.
Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change the number to something different then what is already listed in the small white square.
Press the pound (#) button.
Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will
appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
A
working TV remote is a security blanket that allows us the peace of
mind of knowing that we don't have to get up unless nature calls or the
house catches on fire. People are more likely to spend more time and
energy to fix their TV remote than to get up and change the channel.
There are a number of simple fixes that can ease your mind when your TV
remote is not working.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){
jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); });
});

Instructions
Things You'll Need:
New Batteries
Check
the batteries. Make sure the batteries are in correctly and, if they
are, replace the batteries. If the batteries are dead or are not in
correctly, your remote will not respond and the LED light will not
illuminate when a button is pressed. Make sure the TV is plugged in. An
unplugged TV will not respond to any remote.
Check
the selected input to make sure the remote is set on the TV and not
some other device programmed into the remote, such as your DVD player,
VCR, or video game console.
Reprogram the sync code. If you are using a universal remote, it may have deprogrammed, leaving the remote and TV out of sync.
Unplug
the TV for a few minutes. During a power surge, a TV can become
"confused." Unplugging it for a few minutes will give the TV the break
it needs to sort everything out and work properly with your remote.
Use
another remote on the TV. Program a universal remote to work with the
TV. If the TV does not respond, the problem is likely with the TV and
not the remote control.
1 Turn on the component you want to program.
2 Press and hold both the TV/DVD/ect button and the power button untill the light comes on and stays on
3 Press the play button every 5 seconds until the device turns off. A bank of ten codes is being sent each time.
4 Press the rewind/reverse button to see if it turns off/on again. Wait 2 seconds and press again until it turns back on.You may have to do this up to 10 times until it searches through the bank of ten codes sent.
5 Press and hold the stop button until the light goes off. This saves the code.
you'll need the manual you can try http://www.wikiremotes.com for troubleshooting. They have codes manuals and support for all universal remote controls
