Dvd drive door stuck

In case you're not able to eject the disc using the eject button, you can try right clicking on the CD/DVD drive under 'My Computer' and clicking on eject. If that fails as well, you can try to eject the disc manually by pushing a straightened paper clip or a pin into the tiny hole on front of the CD/DVD drive. You should be able to eject it using the last method.

Can't eject CD from CD rom

Disassembling may be your only option, if the CD is Broken or jammed. Try rebooting and pushing the DVD rom button at boot. I had a DVD explode, I had to remove the drive and disassembling the DVD rom to remove all the pieces.

My disk top door won,t open up to allow me to install a disic

Open Computer in start menu, right click on the Drive, scroll down to Eject, click. Pull the outer frontcover door down so you can access the drive, push the button on the drive , does it work? Remove the faceplate/frontcover of the desktop something is misaligned or obstructing the button on the drive or it's broken.

CD BROKE IN DRIVE - NOW DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Seems like some of the particles from the broken CD have remained inside. For manually opening up the drive there is a small hole in which you can insert a straightened paper clip. The drive bay will budge a little and you can pull it out manually. Secondly maybe the belt driving the open/close system has gone weak. Try tapping ******* top of the drive right after pushing the eject button. After you have got it opened i suggest you remove the drive from the PC and do a detailed cleanup by completely dismantling the drive.

Instructions on how to eject a cd from vostro 1510 ? william@kanigan.com

You can eject a CD in two ways!
1 Simply pressing the button on the right edge of CD drive and drive opens by sliding out
2. Clicking on my computer which shows all the drives C: D: E: etc. C: is hard drive so can not be ejected. Right click on the D or E where ever the CD is and choose eject! That will open the CD drive!
Good luck!

I have a burned CD in the CD drawer and I can't retreive it, I can't find the button to open the door. Somewhere there is a button" OPEN DOOR" but I can't locate it.

There are two ways to open the CD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD disc.
If you continue having problem openning with the Eject button, then the CD drive may be faulty and needs replacing.

Where is the eject button located exactly? i have a second hand dell studio one touch and im not sure if there is a disk or something blocking the cd drive as i can not put a disk in and i dont know where...

A lot of Desktops and Laptops have an eject facillity within "My Computer" if you are Windows OS.
Go to My Computer and Right click in the CD/DVD rom, select eject.
Otherwise there is a tiny hole on the front panel, next to the eject button. That will accept a straightned out paper clip and will push the mechanics to manually eject a disc.
Hope this helps.

How can I eject a cd from my dell

Try right clicking the CD drive in my computer and then click eject. If that doesn't work, look closely and you will see a tiny hole normally next to the eject button, sometimes there is just a grove. Take a straightened paper clip and insert it in that hole. This should open the drive. You may have to turn the computer off for this to work. If that does not work you will have to try prying it open with a butter knife. It may damage the drive but seems it is already damaged.

Ejecting cd dell studio 17

It's very annoying they don't tell you how to do this. I looked here for the solution, then found it myself.

You have to depress the blue Fn key and simultaneously depress F10. Notice that that key has a blue "eject" symbol on it.
