Have horizontal lines across the screen and some

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-46VL130 and it has horizontal lines across the screen and some ghosting of the picture. It goes away after the tv warms up, but comes back every time I turn the tv on. What's going on?

Yeah we have the same exact problem here. Defective TV....ours would correct itself after 30 mins, but now it's blurry all the time. I'm never dropping 2K on a SONY tv again.

Our Sony Bravia is also about 2.5 years old and we are experiencing the the same problem. I contacted Sony and they did not have any solutions other than it is our LCD panel and they suggested that we contact a tv repair service two and a half hours away! They offered us a refurbished one for $500! That is a third of what I paid for a brand new one and what is to say that this one will not do the same thing in less time. I have done some research and found that there are hundreds of others experiencing the same problem. I believe that there is a defect in their models and instead and instead of incurring the cost they pass it onto the consumer and keep selling their product under the "Sony" name. I am with you and will not buy another $1500 t.v. Under the Sony name. The least you would expect it to last is 5-10 years!

I have a Bravia KDL-52w4500. Over the last month I have started to get more and more horizontal line across the screen. These do not go away. What can I do to fix this

unfortunatly, horizontal lines on an lcd tv, almost always mean a bad lcd panel. if it is out of warranty, it will be really cost prohibitive to replace the panel. if the set is only a year old or so call sony customer support and ask for a concession for the part.

Sony kdl-v40xbr1 has horizontal lines

I'm having the same problem. I have noticed on mine that the menu when brought up is clear and I can see it perfectly. The picture on all the inputs is just as described above though. BUT, like I said I can see the menu just fine. This leads me to believe that it's not the panel. Anyone have a solution to this, or at least know what could be causing it?
