My son's psp will only read some games but not all of them Why?

Well the problem might be that your son hasn't updated the PSP to it's latest software version. That or the game disc(s) is probably just dirty. If updating doesn't work then you should rather just call SONY. They will either help you with your problem or tell you you have to ship it to there company to fix and they will charge you a fee. But shipping the PSP is free.

My son's psp will read some games but not all of them. What is wrong with it?

It could be that the outer casing is broken or the disk isn't spinning right inside the outer casing. I had this problem with a game my friend gave me. The case was broken so it didn't work. If the disk doesn't spin fast enough, it will cause a read error . I learned this also. I have seen replacement cases for psp games so you can always put the game in another case.

Psp

This can by caused by one or more of the following conditions:

1- The device was dropped and the sensitive laser assembly broke. Get a new PSP.

2- The laser assembly is dirty. Clean it gently with a cotton swab and some isopropyl.

3- The games are dirty. Gently spin them and wipe with a soft cloth.
