Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Bluetooth Problem??? My 18 month old V3 suddenly heated up while it was tucked in my waist band. It got really hot and then the battery died. I rechardge the battery but in a very short time it died again. I noticed the little blue light on the front that indicates the bluetooth function is turned on is lit. I have never used this function but I went into the menu to make sure it did not somehow get accidently turned on. It was not. I turned it on and then turned if off again hoping to reset it. Did not help. For what ever reason, I think the chip that has the bluetooth function is fried. If this is true, can it be fixed? If so, would it be worth the money? Do you guys repair cell phones or can you refer me to someone who does?

Ok here's what you gotta do, this may solve u'r problem, go to menu, settings, initial set up, master clear Code ( 000000 )w8. phone boots, then go again to menu, settings, initial set up, master reset, Code ( 000000 ) then the phone will boot...and your fones restored to it's original settings, but the problem you had with this heating up thing, cant resolve, your phone is grounded, or your batt is no good... if you have multi tester put the pins on both side put to 0 value, in the battery terminal. then switch it both terminals again on both outer side of terminals , and if both after swicthing, cursor moves u'r fone is grounded, go to service center and they will replace yoour p.a. ( power ampli ) gud luck!

Battery gets hot phone shuts off

Your battery needs to be replaced. It is probably 12-18 months old and will soon be completely dead. I get my batteries at http://www.batteries4less.com. Good luck!

My Razr v3 is only a few month old and I am having a problem with the battery holding a charge all day long. I do not use it a lot and I did try my Husbands Razr battery to see if that would help.

When you notice this problem are you inside a building that gets poor cell service? If so the buildings walls are causing the problem. The battery has to work extra hard to find a signal. If this is the problem then their is really no solution.

Dying battery

first fully discharge the battery then place it in a plastic container and put it on the freezer overnight, just make sure that no moisture will enter on the cointainer. after taking it out on the freezer let stay at room temperature for 5 minutes, then charge it. I always do this with my old batteries and it works well.

My motorola V3 heats up like crazy

Thats normal for the phone to do that. Don`t expect it to remain cool when its charged. It is going to get a little hot.

Battery charge

Make sure that your bluetooth is still not powered on. It tends to drain the battery, but you probaly have another problem as well. Perhaps you should invest in another battery, to make sure thats not faulty.
