Danby DPAC 7599 - No owner's manual - Exhuast tube question

Bought without an owner's manual... What is the purpose of the exhaust tube? Is it supposed to decrease the use of the reservoirs? My reserviors filled after about 3 nights of use, which was fine, but I'm wondering if the tube is supposed to be draining any water or can I leave it inside my screen (where it would drip into my windowsill) so I don't have to remove the screen every time I want to set up the AC? Will I need this tube for heating in the winter? And is there anywhere I can find a copy of the owner's manual? Thanks!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Sounds like the Start capacitor might be shot.  I think  you need a professional to service it.

I want to use my danby 7599 as a heater, do I need to have the exhaust tube vented to the outside on the back?

As per instructions on page 4 of the manual I printed out from the internet (which I cannot find again) :
The exhaust/window kit must be installed AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE UNIT IS OPERATING UNDER THE AIR CONDITIONING MODE.
There should be at least 11.8" clearance between the unit and any other objects or building structure. The unit should be installed on a level surface. The window kit does not have to be installed during operation of the remaining three modes. (Heating (DPAC 7599) /Dehumidifying/Fan)

I have a Danby Mod.# DPAC 10061 portable A\C, the

This sounds like it could be a power supply problem. It may be very simple. I think I would first just unplug the unit, open it up, look for the PS connectors, and check/wiggle them to make sure there is good contact.

I went to the Danby's website:
https://www.danby.com/

And I was unable to find any service or owner's manuals in PDF format. The site does however have a locator for service shops. Good Luck!

Unit does not cool with the exhaust pipe connection covered

you need to get the exhaust air out if the structure or it will never work, you can use regular duct from a supply house as a temp fix
