Sounds like the water solinoid valve is stuck in the open position. look at the hole where the water comes in machine. alot of times it will be a slow dribble of water which overtime overfills the machine. just replace water valve if thats the case

Check the temperature and how long the aggregate runs.
If it is not cooling check the thermostat and the aggregate. Perhaps you even lost the cooling fluid. (used to be called Freon, but freon should not used today)

I have a window air conditioner, Maytag, the compressor keeps running and will not shut off. I have tried turning it off and on, but it still runs. I tried to turn it off by the button on the AC, but...

The compressor is controlled by a contactor (relay) the relay is stuck (contacts burned or if a solid state relay the "smoke has leaked out" :) it may require a control board change if it is a modern unit

Water overfills icemaker. Won't shut off properly

Good day,
There is a micro switch in the ice maker that turns on the water valve for approx. 7 seconds, and then closes it.
If the valve is hanging open, even though receiving no input from the ice maker then the water valve needs replaced.

The water does not shut off even after it reaches the proper level it continues to run and it overfills and leaks out the bottom of the washer the clear hose is not clogged and we blow into it we can hear...

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

Ice maker over fill, water keeps running

If water keeps running to the ice maker all the time even when it doesn't call for water , the water valve for the ice maker is leaking(located in the back of the refrigerator, bottoom right),but if overflow only when it calls for water(no more than 7 seconds) the problem is in the ice maker control board, you can replace it but it will cost almost as a new ice maker.

Hot water runs constantly - overfills

This is often, if not all the time, a faulty fill valve, the fill valve has mechanically stuck open and is not fully shutting off when not the washer is not in use. This normally will become worse and could flood over the top of the washer = big mess .... replace the fill valve. The fill valve is the part the hot and cold water hoses are attached to.

My Maytag Washer keeps running water and won't stop.

regardless of machine being on or not???sounds like a faulty water inlet valve youll need to replace the valve..

If the water level just overfills and floods over the top of washer but turns off when the unit is shut off, then it sounds like a bad fill switch.
