How do I turn off the gas to my gas light? I don't want to turn off the gas to my house, just to my light. I don't know where the shut off valve is on the light. I have no manual, the light came...

Somewhere there is a supply line to the gaslight. It could be coming from your gas meter outside and there will be a valve on it. I would start at the first place that you can see your gas line to the house. You will be looking for any tee or line coming out of the main gas line. You will have to follow all lines that you see to determine what device they serve: furnace, water heater, etc. If you find a line that you can't follow or that appears to go toward the gaslight, light the gaslight then shut the valve to be certain.

GE profile Mod DPSR610G0WT dryer shuts off multiple times during drying cycle, need to wait about 5 mins, then restart; have partially dismantled to vacuum lint around drum and controls

you need to check the thermostats,, they have limits that are preset , The cycle selected determines which thermostat is used. A cycling thermostat can be found somewhere in the path of air that is leaving the drum. It could be found on the blower wheel housing or inside the venting/exhaust system. Dryer thermostats are usually oval shaped and about an inch and a half in length. Also, there should be two wires leading to each thermostat. Label these wires before you remove them so that you are able to correctly reconnect them later.Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermostat should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermostat is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. if you don't have a meter, consult someone with one or call a repairman

Blower does not blow on profile dryer GE Profile dryer drum turns heats but does not dry

the clip that holds the fan on the back shaft of the motor may have broken so the fan isn't turning, check that , but first check the duct and make sure that you don't have a ball of lint clogging the vent,, also check the venting all the way out of the house,, clean the overhang of the outside vent cover, they get moist and collect lint

How do i enable my acere enet management, its saying that its off..... its a Acer 5315

This is one for anyone familiar with the Acer eNet Management software. It consistently connects to wireless networks besides my own. The "Auto" profile is unchangeable, so I created another profile, and put my network in the "WLAN perferred list", but everytime the computer restarts, it selects the "Auto" profile instead of my own, and connects somewhere else. Searching on other help forums, the solution I've found has pretty much been to ditch Acer eNet Management and use another managment software, like the one build into Windows. I don't mind doing this, but I simply can't fathom that the people who developed this software didn't include an option to change the default profile. If so, I think I've just lost all faith in my fellow software developers. But alas, after hours of googling and reading manuals, this seems to be just the case.

The only info I can find is that it "automatically uses the best settings (changes profile I assume) based on location". This would seem to indicate there somewhere there exists a setting mapping certain locations to profiles. How the heck its supposed to know what location you are in (home, office, etc) without you telling it (scan Wifi networks maybe?) is odd, but even so, since this particular computer never moves, there has to be a way to have it always use a certain profile, even it means I have to map this profile to a "location". These obviously are not the "best" settings for me since it connects to my neighbours unsecured wireless, instead of my secured wireless. And it doesn't just sometimes not select my connection, it ALWAYS doesn't select my connection, even though it's 5 bars vs 3 on the other connection.

I also went into "Settings" in eNet Management and deselected the "Switch Networks Automatically" and "Allow Acer eNet Management to connect automatically to an open wireless network" (which are profile independent so they stay deselected) but IT STILL DOES.

I think I just needed to get that off my chest, but if anyone has other solutions besides disabling eNet Management, is it possible to control what profile it selects on boot?

Thanks very much!

The refrigerator (GE Profile) is not making ice

the water; for ice, as you know; goes via a 1/4 inch plastic hose from your house water supply; the hose enters you refrigerator at the back then: internally the hose enters a filter located usually on your model: down by the left side of the front bottom kickplate.
check to see if the water valve for house service is closed next check your water filter (turn the water off first) if this checks out: check the electric water valve in the icemaker.
