I have a Vermont Casting VM450SSP Grill that needs a new Hose Regulator-S/B Valve Assembly. I have ordered two separate times what "Appliance Factory Parts" thinks is the part I need and both...

This ma=y be a case of changes in parts for your VC Grill. The ownership of Vermont Castings changed 6 years ago, when Majestic Fireplace, who was then the owner went bankrupt and Monesson Hearth products bought VC in the bankruptcy. Shortly there after, Monesson made some sweeping changes to the grill line (your model was discontinued) and really up graded what Majestic Fireplace had done with that line of grills. Overall, they started building a better quality grill.

Unless you have a piped in high pressure propane gas system, the one that Appliance Factory Parts furnished you should work fine (based on what I saw on their website). In addition, if you purchased your grill, prior to the change in 20lb LP Gas Grill Tanks Valves, 6 years ago. Some manufacturers changed their grill hoses to conform with the new OPD Valve grill tanks. It wasn't required, they just did it, to avoid regulators locking up, when the tank valve is opened to fast.

Hope this helped answer and solve the problem for you. Happy Grilling!!

I need the dimensions for a Vermont Casting VM600

As a former VC Grill and fireplace dealer, I though the Model Number you listed looked a little strange. Almost all true Vermont Castings Grills have model numbers that start with VCS. Then I realized that this grill when introduced 3 years ago, was an exclusive (at the time) for Home Depot. It was built for what we called the Big Box Stores, rather than independent dealers like myself. As of right now, Home Depot no longer carries the grill, but there are still a few in the market place. However, there are no Owners Manuals or online literature available in regards to the overall physical size of the grill. I can tell you, that it has 600 sq inches of cooking space.

Hope this helped you. Sorry I couldn't provide more dimensional information.

I have a new Vermont castings Signature Series 401 Natural gas grill. Even when the burners are set on high there doesn't seem to be a very big flame on any of the burners and with all the 4 burners on...

You may have a new VC Natural Gas grill, but I'm willing to bet that it has LP Gas Orifices in it, instead of natural gas ones. Sometimes this happens. It gets mismarked as Natural Gas, when in fact it's Propane.

To confirm this, remove a burner, then remove the orifice, It should be stamped for which gas it's for. It will say NAT or LPG or LP

If you find this the problem, contact the VC dealer you purchased it from, for No Charge replacement orifices.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem

Need a parts list and diagram for vm450ssp

As is typical with Vermont Castings, when they discontinue a model (as is the case with yours), they discontinue any reference to it (Owners Manuals, Parts Manuals, Replacement Parts, etc.) and refrer the customer back to the VC Dealer. However, there are a few parts available through online grill parts stores. But they are pretty limited.

At one time, NEX Grill was manufacturing the VC Grills for Vermont Castings. You may want to check their website for availability of parts.

Hope this helps you find what you need.

I want to convert my vm 600bsn grill from natural gas to propane

Because you bought your grill at Lowe's/Home Dept there is no conversion kit available. Conversion kits are available only for the MHSC made Vermont Castings grills sold at authorized dealer locations. If you are interested in a genuine Vermont Castings grill please visit www.ibuybarbecues.com or www.ibuyvermontgrills.com
