There are a few problems you may have.
Is your computer in need of a good clean up? check here

It may however be due to a poor internet connection. Run a speed test to see what your connection/ping speeds are. I use
The latency score is quite importent when it comes to streaming video, WIFI connections will add to the latency and the need for more buffering.
I have a 10mb connection, and use a wired connection to the router, my results where..(at a peak time)
Latency (ping) 23ms....(from a server 100 miles away) very nice
Download 9.65mb from a max 10mb...very nice
upload 0.46mb from a max 0.5..
So i am quite happy, It can show your results compared to other people in your area and using your ISP goodluck

When I try to view a video online, Realplayer tries to install on my computer, but it's already the newest version. So I can't watch the video. What's up?

We'll to override this you could download adobe flash player which will then ask to go default player.adobe usually has the best updated codecs for online need at least 2gb memory to cope with hd playback and make sure all other running programs are shut down whilst online browsing videos.if you are watching stuff on computer a good all rounder which is also free is GOM player.plays just about everything without stutter or choppy playback.

Computer slows down after ten minutes of watching video

Try downloading latest video drivers and Inmatrix Zoom player. It comes with an auto downloader for video codecs. Also try VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic. If all else fails, try Analog-X cache booster.
