Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

I am trying to set up my printer and the display keeps telling that there is a " Paper Jam", nowever there is nothing there, I am starting to think that the printer, which is just purchased is not going to work???

You mentioned that this was just purchased, Something to check is to see if there were any "shipping tape" small pieces of tape that are placed in the feed tray, inside the printer, etc to keep all the parts from moving during shipment. It is possible that one of these little buggers is either still in place, or has been pulled into the moving parts of the printer.

Update your printer drivers, go to the printer manufacturers website and then search for the printer on there.

You press Menu/Set 2,0,3, then press up/down arrows set faxibility to on. Press menu/Set, then press up/down arrows to turn call waiting on or off. Press Menu/Set and lastly press Exit/Stop.

Paper jam error without a paper jam


sometimes the printer keeps telling you one thing first you have to read again your instruction carefully or sometimes its just the position of your printer where the paper was

My printer keeps showing the message, " paper jam

The Paper Jam message may appear on the display if the Brother machine is not feeding paper correctly, paper scraps stucked or the paper is not loaded properly in the paper tray, the jam clear cover located in the back of the machine, is not installed properly or the PE Actuator is missing or damaged.

My printer keeps telling me that i have a system error. Remover paper jam then press start but nothing happens. Help


Where does this "system error" message appear? On your printer display or on your computer screen? Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet to reset itself. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Then load some paper. Try to print again and see if the error appears again.

look at the output area, make sure that the paper lever is working. Sometimes they come loose after a jam.

Refer to www.kodak.com/go/itg and select all in one printers and then paper-jam . it will step by step show you on how to remove the paper-jam. if the printer does not work,after those steps Call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the entire printer for you free of cost.

Error paper jam


Step1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

Turn off the printer.

Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper. 
Step

Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge. 
Step

If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it. 
Step

If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.

Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

Paper jam cleared - but still won't work


turn off the printer for a while then back on again, if it still refuse to print, try printing a test page.
