Shutdowns what if there are no error codes but the tv is shutting down anyway?

The TV turns off without warning. Sometimes after being on a long time then again if only on for about 30 minutes. I have pressed the on button and input -but no results. I have unpluged the set for lengthy times, replug and it may come on or not. Sometimes I have to leave it off 24 hours. The green timer light on the front of the TV will flash twice but nothing happens, no codes, etc. Then it may not be a problem for a whole week then the next several days I cannot get it on. What now?

Same prob, TV has a mind of its own, shuts off erratically, sometimes not for several days, then several times in one day. This set is usually on at least 12 hours a day.

How long does it come on? If on then off, possible short somewhere, if turns off during movie, maybe weak power supply.

Does the led light flashes green continually?

Check if you can access the operational error code. The TV must be in shutdown and then press the front panel "activity" and "channel down" at the same time and hold them for 5 secs.

Led light will flash 2 digit code separated by a pause.

23 - 2 blinks pause 3 blinks

Let me know the result...

Hi Daniel,

Please check if you can access the "error code operational check" to narrow down where the fault came from.
How to enter to error code operational check.
Note : The TV must be in shutdown and not have been switched off. When the TV is switched off, the error code automatically resets to 12 (no error).
Press the buttons on the front panel "Input/Device" and "Menu" at the same time and hold it for 5 sec, activate the error code mode. The LED light will flashes denoting a two digit error code.
Example : if the error code is 22, the led will flash two times pause and then flash two times and will repeat the error code for five times.

If you can't access the error code operational check , please let me know the exact pattern of the flashes of the led light and its color. Check if it will continually flashes green to give you the caused of the symptoms and best solution.

Good luck and take care.

Power shuts off 1 second after tv is turned on

Good Day,

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times.
1 - 2 = no error detected
2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current)
2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies)
2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection)
2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source)
1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB (NOT SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC).

2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 PART # 283P043090 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT.

3. SELF-DIAGNOSIS INDICATES SHORT PROTECT. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC4B01 PART # 270P261020 (VERTICAL OUTPUT) LOADING 24-VOLT SUPPLY LINE. LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.

I hope this was helpful, BIG IRISH.

Electrolux ERL6296XK1 Fridge Freezer has flashing error code E F Cannot reset the error so not sure if fridge / freezer are actually working. It did have a problem with the ice maker over filling before...

Had the same problem with an ew26ss65g50. unplug the machine and let it defrost. then plug back in after an hour or so. problem is the evaporator fan gets iced up from water spilling in/on it and air does not circulate. makes a horrible grinding noise before it shuts down. anyway, my icemaker is off right now and that solved the shutdown problem. working on repairing it.

Tv will not power up

the itc222 has a processor that shut it down for one or 20 different reasons. generally it is for high voltage safety reasons. the first thing as a technician i check are the horizontal tansistor and flyback. The first thing you can do is unplug for hour and then try again. This usally dosent work but it does elimate proscesor lockup. since the light comes on then you can elemante the main fuse. as a technician we have acess to computer equipment much like the one on cars that read error codes that tells me why the set shut down. does the set try three times then shut down.or just shutdown with one try.
